Training/TGIF

Happy Friday everyone, ... Let's Talk about It!!

Think, if only we could convince ourselves enough to understand that whatever your mind believes, will ultimately manifest.  I would deduce that a part of our issue is that we are too caught up in the time factor, so when things dont fall in order when we want, we lose hope.  Oddly enough belief and doubt are not so different in arrival.  In truth like it or not, we have no  control of time, nor our destiny.   The Universe doesn't succumb to our finite time, for it is already determined when things will occur.   Hope is available to you, please dont lose your desire, it will happen when its aligned to happen.

A hello begins in the eyes and in the smile.  Its a simple gesture and breezy exchange.  The world smiles at you when we collectively do our part to enhance the journey.  Life will teach that the portrait that GOD has painted of you, has its own beauty, design and character.   All experiences are training courses that we eventually master as we live to represent and reflect to those who hunger, with a passion to know more about 'why', are those who are never content with 'average'.  Just like an elliptical machine, our life has many levels, the tension gets rough, while some levels, you're on easy street, other days you're at your breaking point, and through it all some blood, sweat and some tears will be shed.

What Are You a Doing With Your Life?

Flashback Who's That ...

Flashback Who's That Thursday:

Dawn Robinson rose to fame in the early 1990s as a member of the R&B quartet En Vogue, one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time. Following her departure from the group, Robinson joined Lucy Pearl and they released their self-titled debut album in 2000, which sold a million copies worldwide and produced the top charting single "Dance Tonight".  I often wonder what happens to the 'dream' that groups, who begin as friends, then turn enemies or have the clash of ego's. Is it a dream deferred?  Clearly Dawn Ribibsin can sing, she's marketable, unfortunately after her exit from 'En Vogue' left a void, arguably she was the favorite in the group. Teaming up with the rap coalition 'The Firm' for their hit 'Firm Biz' to the now defunct group 'Lucy Pearl' with their hit 'Dance Tonight'.  Robinson has always been viewed as the  'difficult' one.  Seemingly issues with every attachment, that she's been a part of, begs to question, is she?
With all the negativity behind her, in 2002 she finally released he long-awaited solo album 'Dawn' which failed to ignite with radio audiences or her fans.  A clear case of  'too much, too little, too late'.  Perhaps her journey would have been smoother, had she remained with 'En Vogue'. #DawnRobinson #EnVogue #TheFirm #DrDre  #LucyPearl

Hump Day ...

Music Corner Selector ...

Putting a needle to the record ...

The 'struggle' of an 'Indy' artist,,is to know their core audience and to grow a following from there.  Music Is Universal and can unite cultures.   Today my musical selection piece 'showcases'  and up and coming artist named 'Idara' who is a diverse artist who describes her music as "Popular-Soul".  A UCLA graduate and professional singer who has been writing her own songs and playing piano since childhood.  Idara is ready to share her gift and her craft, with the world, as she presents, her debut album "Spirits and Souls", taking the listener on a musical journey, her instrument transcends color lines, and strips down to a natural vulnerability, that most new artists are afraid to reveal.  Her songs ask only that you open your heart, and your ears...and simply "enjoy".
