In Remembrance of ...
She received a formal training in music. She always-told audiences that she credit her love of music to growing up in a “Holy Roller” evangelical church. Pearl’s father was the minister. She had a throaty voice and ad libed frequently during her performances. She had her own show on ABC in 1970. The show lasted until 1971.
She decided to obtain a college degree and graduated from Georgetown University with a theology degree at the age of 67. In 1975, Pearl served her country as a special ambassador to the United Nations. In 1988, Pearl received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
She and husband jazz drummer Louie Bellson were married over 40 years until her passing in 1990. In the mid 50's the couple adopted two children a son name Tony Bellson who passed away in 2004 and a daughter name Dee Dee Bellson born in 1960, she passed away July 4, 2009.
Pearl Bailey was very respected in the entertainment industry, not only for her comedic prowess, but for being a very intelligent individual, though most of her roles, would make you think differently. That was just a part of her mystique and brilliance. Bailey, a Republican, was appointed by President Richard Nixon as America's "Ambassador of Love" in 1970. She attended several meetings of the United Nations and later appeared in a campaign ad for President Gerald Ford in the 1976 election.
She was awarded the Bronze Medallion (New York City award) in 1968 and a Presidential Medal of Freedom on October 17, 1988.

By nature we're governed to give, the benefit of the doubt. We look for strength to provide comfort and safety. Respect is generally given freely, when perhaps its rightful adage should be earned. No matter how forthcoming you may be, it doesnt atomically result, in the tiding to be reciprocal. A protective shield and armor should be worn at all times. Deceit wears a sincere game face, with the best disguises, because the art of a con artist, is a fine tuned formula. Recognize what you deserve; and set your boundaries. By nature we tend to be forgiving souls, which is not always the best remedy. Without a guideline you become reactionary, giving your power away to individuals who constantly reveal, a desire to exit your life.
Its time to stop agonizing over things that are out of your control. Whatever is meant to be will, and what is not, is irrelevant. Pray for direction, pray for truth, its imperative to find at least one person, who you can surrender to, its a way to free yourself, also its very empowering. The world is comprised of more followers than leaders, because its easier, less static and is a form of complacency. The work comes when you throw selfishness out the window, as a leader, your blood, sweat and tears mostly rewards the follower, who benefits from your efforts, its at that precise moment you realize, your deeds are of God, standing for others, who were afraid to let their voice be heard.

Hollywood Royalty: Vivian Vance
Everybody needs one, a 'bestfriend' and 'Ethel' was that to 'Lucy'. Vivian Vance was in a number of shows on Broadway, usually as a member of the chorus. Eventually she graduated to supporting parts after she replaced Kay Thompson in the musical Hooray for What! (1937). Her most successful stage role was that of Nancy Collister in the Cole Porter musical Let's Face It! (1941), in which she starred alongside Danny Kaye and Eve Arden for over 500 performances.
The love of acting keeps artist plugging away, for the 'love' of their craft, and sometimes luck is in the stars, which is just what happened when Vivian Vance met a red head named Lucille Ball, who along with hubby Desi Arnaz was casting their new television show called 'I Love Lucy' in 1951, director Marc Daniels, who had previously worked with Vance in a theater production, suggested her for the role of landlady Ethel Mertz. Lucille Ball had wanted either Bea Benaderet or Barbara Pepper, both close friends, to play the role. Fortunately for Vance CBS refused Pepper on the grounds that she had a drinking problem, and Benaderet was already playing Blanche Morton on the Burns and Allen television series. Arnaz then began searching for another actress and Daniels took him and producer Jess Oppenheimer to the La Jolla Playhouse to see Vance in the John Van Druten play The Voice of the Turtle.
Watching her perform, Arnaz was convinced he had found the right actress to play Ethel Mertz. Ball was less sure. She felt the Ethel character should be much older and less attractive; Vance was closer to Ball's age and attractive. Ultimately Vance who was 42 at the time, the show made its debut October 15, 1951 on CBS. At first Ball had a lukewarm reception to Vance, which eventually grew into respect as a friend and actress that grew into a close friendship.
Everyone needs a best friend, thankfully for Lucy and Ethel they set the bar.

Tamia is married to retired NBA player Grant Hill. The couple have two daughters; Myla Grace and Lael Rose. In a industry where gimmicks is highly praised, Tamia light continues to shine brightly in truth, as her vocal are pitch perfect, her looks are a marketing departments dream.

We're in the world to be a proactive participant, Its not something to take lightly, legacy and impact, should be the things left behind, long after we have transitioned. Ever notice how many are quick to give their advice and opinions on the choices that you make, but are very silent in stating the direction of their quest, simply because they end up on hypocritical lane, with similar neighbors. We must walk in absolute, and in that walk, it was never meant to be a bed of roses, thorns are meaningful too. Don't believe me; keep living. Whatever your secrets are, if you share them, no matter how good or bad, the foe has nowhere to go, quickly they dissipate. Judgement comes from GOD, so whatever shames you, he already knows your complete story for beginning to end.
We all know people who love to hear the sound of their own voice and are their biggest cheerleaders, but lack discernment and the ability to be quiet and listen. Most of those type of people, are often afraid of their own company. Silence is a very revealing key, to what we can witness and is illustrated. So many questions and no easy answers. Its all a part of of defining your reasons to be, to exist, to participate. Its a gallant walk, you must play it big, and enjoy every moment that's allowed of existence. Many of us are guilty, of expectation, and assumption, how pompous of we humans. Gratitude can be a very sexy attribute to possess.

N'Dea Davenport is an American born singer, songwriter, and producer, best known for her work as a vocalist in the UK funk band, The Brand New Heavies.
Davenport got her start when she connected with Fab Five Freddy, who recommended her to a DJ friend at new upstart label Delicious Vinyl. Eurythmics member/ producer Dave Stewart, offered Davenport a recording contract a year prior when introduced through a collaboration with Bootsy Collins and Malcolm McLaren, where she was featured on McLaren's Waltz Darling LP. She declined Stewart’s offer at the time due to his requirement for her to relocate to London, England, only to later ink a solo development deal with Delicious Vinyl, who made introductions to her future bandmates, The Brand New Heavies where she ironically relocated to London, England.
Davenport gave new life to the Brand New Heavies on stellar cuts like 'Never Stop' , 'Stay This Way', 'Dream Come True', 'Dream on Dreamer' and 'Brother Sister'. Her destinctive vocals are so recognizable, it was only a matter of time, that the itch to go solo was scratched. Having had success with the Heavies, in 1998 her solo debut CD on V2 records was greeted with great enthusiasm and anticipation. The CD featured singles 'Bullshittin' and 'Whatever You Want' it was a lopsided endeavor, that covered many genre's, which resulted in lackluster sales and void of radio airplay. Producers like Dallas August and Guru contributed effiorts, but failed to strike a cord with old and new fans.
Today Davenport still records and tours extensively throughout the states and abroad. Eventhough she and The Heavies parted ways citing irreconcilable differences, from time to time, they reunite to tour when the elements are right.

Brittany Daniel's SCARE
Actress Brittany Daniel secretly battled cancer in 2011 after she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
The blonde beauty, who starred opposite her twin sister Cynthia in 1994 teen drama series Sweet Valley High, had been suffering severe back pain, night sweats and flu-like symptoms in the summer of 2011 when she learned she had stage four cancer.
She tells People magazine, "I was in unbearable pain, and I knew something wasn't right. But I don't think any of us were expecting what we heard."
Daniel underwent six months of chemotherapy and spent the following 18 months in recovery, turning to natural treatments like acupuncture, as she bounced back from her health crisis.
She says, "I lost all my hair. It stripped me of everything. My exterior was taken away so I could see who I really was on the inside... It's the hardest thing I've gone through, but it showed me who I am."
Daniel, who turned 38 on Monday (17Mar14), has since been declared cancer-free and she is only now opening up about her battle with the disease in a bid to help others going through similar health struggles.
The Game star explains, "I just needed time to emotionally recover (from her cancer battle). But I want people going through cancer to know they're not alone. The odds were stacked against me but I'm a warrior. Now I'm just enjoying every day."

Up and coming actor Chadwick Boseman stars as the Godfather of Soul, in Universal's Get On Up the long awaited James Brown biopic, which finds 42 star Chadwick Boseman getting on the good foot as the lead funketeer.
The picture recounts the "rags-to-riches" story of the hardest working man in show business, from his impoverished childhood, time in prison and ascendancy to superstardom. A sub-plot also involves Brown's mother, whom will be played by Viola Davis, who abandoned him at age 6, and his aunt (played by Octavia Spencer), who raised him in a brothel. Brown was also a womanizer, so look for a bevy of women throughout.

The triumphs come when you walk in tune with our Father's words and the mission that you're task to complete. Its more than receiving, the notion is about what is deserved, and freely given. Life is a Journey, not a destination, there are no mistakes, hiccups are tossed in, that challenge your faith. Fundamentals are the key factor of travel and exploration, shapes and patterns are intricate details in getting to all that is Heavenly. Prolonging the inevitable is more circumstantial than consequential, understanding the aftermath is the right passage, to your atonement.

'World Outside My Window' was released March March 19, 2002 by artist Glenn Lewis who is a Canadian R&B and neo soulsinger–songwriter, best known for his singles "Don't You Forget It" and "It's Not Fair". Lewis has cited Stevie Wonder as his biggest inspiration, and Lewis has often been compared to him because of the similarities in their tones. Lewis debut was well received and sold moderately, and wet his fans palate for a followup, which wasnt to be for a decade. A few label changes and politics found Glenn Lewis faces the challenges that many artist encounter being in the Recording Industry.
On April 29, 2013 Lewis debuted his single "Can't Say Love" which was Number 2 most added at Urban AC Radio and hit Number 25 on BDS. His long awaited followup album Moment of Truth was released October 15, 2013 and features production from Grammy Award winning duo Dre & Vidal, DJ Camper, Carvin Haggins & Ivan Barias, as well as a duet with Roc Nation vocalist Melanie Fiona, who also is also canadian. 'Moment' didn't contain the fire, nor the attention of his debut. Currently Lewis is touring throughout the country.

Motown's Brilliance ...
Remembering Tammi Terrell. I betcha you didnt that Stevie Wonder wrote 'All I Do' in 1966 when he was sixteen years old. At the time Terrell was a newly signed Motown artist who made Stevie's masterpiece, her very own. The song never chartered. She went on to greater heights as a duet partner with another Motown artist Marvin Gaye. In October 1967, Terrell was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She had eight unsuccessful operations before succumbing to the illness on March 16, 1970 at the age of 24.
Wonder later recorded 'All I Do' in 1980. Just goes to show you that a 'classic' lyric stands the test of time and reaffirms the Brilliance of Stevie Wonder and the Motown catalog.
