Louis 'thunder thumbs' Johnson was born April 13, 1955, died May 22, 2015 was an American bass guitarist.
Johnson was best known for his group The Brothers Johnson and his session playing on several hit albums of the 1970s and 1980s including the "best selling album of all time" Thriller. His signature sound is from the Music Man StingRay bass which Leo Fender especially made for him to first use and promote, and from his slapping technique. Johnson is 'Funkin' now in Heaven. Rest In Peace.

Flashback Who's That ???
'FirmBiz' by The Firm, blasted its way to the airways and clubs. The hype was strong about rap trio. It was an American hip hop supergroup that formed in New York City in 1996. It was created by rapper Nas, his manager Steve Stoute, producer Dr. Dre and production team the Trackmasters. The group was composed of East Coast-based rappers Nas, Foxy Brown, AZ and Nature, who served as a replacement for Cormega after he was ousted from the group.
Unfortunately the group didn't live up to the initial hype and high expectations from fans upon their formation after collectively signing to Dr. Dre's Aftermath label, The Firm's debut album, The Album (1997), generated disappointing sales and generally negative criticism. The album, which featured predominant mafioso rap-themes and production from Dr. Dre and the Trackmasters, was criticized for its mainstream, pop-orientation. Their debut album was the group's only release and they disbanded in 1998 with each member continuing their solo careers.

Goodbye 'Ol' Friend ...
The love affair started in 1982. Jumping a beat for a minute let's agree and acknowledge this fact Dave Letterman is the ONLY person that Johnny Carson wanted to replace him ... It was a blow to his ego, feeling second best, when NBC choose Jay Leno over him. You can't keep a good man down, he left the network for CBS.

Tonight 'Late Night' Television marks the end of my childhood comfort zone. We had Johnny Carson AND Dave Letterman, both had a certain flair, a vomfortabality about themselves. They were the perfect tag team.
David Michael Letterman was born April 12, 1947 he is an American television host, comedian, writer, producer, and actor. His Late Show with David Letterman, broadcast on CBS. Letterman has been a fixture on late night television since the February 1, 1982, debut of Late Night with David Letterman on NBC. In 2013, Letterman surpassed friend and mentor Johnny Carson as the longest-serving late night talk show host in TV history, at 31 years. On April 3, 2014, Letterman announced he would retire in 2015. CBS announced that Stephen Colbert, comedian, writer and host of Comedy Central's The Colbert Report since 2005, will take his place.
We witnessed his quintuple by mass on 2000. He dealt with personal controversy in front of the public eye, On his October 1, 2009, show, Letterman announced that he had been the victim of a blackmail attempt by someone threatening to reveal that he had had sex with several of his female employees, and at the same time, he confirmed that he had had such relationships. His intelligence always shone through, you always understood his opinion of his guests, if he liked you, you knew it, also if he didn't, you knew that too. He was sharp, witty, uncanny, unapologetic, but above all HE WAS COOL!!! So long 'Ol' Comfort Food friend, it's best a therapeutic ride. Take a bow ... Well Done!

A Blues GOD has transitioned. Riley B. King born on September 16, 1925 – May 14, 2015. King was known by his stage name B.B. King, was an American blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Musicians Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton were inspired by this Blues Genius.
Rolling Stone magazine ranked him at No. 1 on its 2011 list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time (previously ranked No. 3 in the 2003 edition of the same list), and he was ranked No. 17 in Gibson's "Top 50 Guitarists of All Time". According to Edward M. Komara, King "introduced a sophisticated style of soloing based on fluid string bending and shimmering vibrato that would influence virtually every electric blues guitarist that followed." King was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. King was also inducted into 2014 class of the R&B Music Hall of Fame. He is considered one of the most influential blues musicians of all time, earning the nickname "The King of Blues", and one of the "Three Kings of the Blues Guitar" (along with Albert King and Freddie King). King was also known for performing tirelessly throughout his musical career, appearing at more than 200 concerts per year on average into his 70s. In 1956, he reportedly appeared at 342 shows.

Andwele Gardner was born February 14, 1978. He is better known by his stage name Dwele is an American soulsinger, songwriter and record producer from Detroit, Michigan.
He played piano from the age of six, later taking up trumpet, bass and guitar. He was deeply affected by the fatal shooting of his father outside his home when he was age ten, later stating "I learned to put my emotions into music; it was my therapy." With six well received albums under his belt, Dwele cites Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Roy Ayers,Miles Davis, and Freddie Hubbard as favorite artists, and took inspiration from hip hop group A Tribe Called Quest, becoming an MC, and working with Slum Village.
