Peabo Bryson suffered a massive stroke over the weekend. His extraordinary career spanned more than five decades, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of contemporary R&B and soul music. Sadly, the melody has ended; however, his songs and enduring legacy will continue to resonate for generations to come.
His remarkable artistry will forever be remembered through timeless recordings such as Reaching for the Sky, Feel the Fire, I'm So Into You, Let the Feeling Flow, Beauty and the Beast, Tonight, I Celebrate My Love, and A Whole New World.
Throughout his distinguished career, Bryson shared the microphone with some of music’s most celebrated vocalists, including Natalie Cole, Roberta Flack, Regina Belle, and Celine Dion. His collaborations with Belle and Dion earned him two Grammy Awards, further cementing his place among the most accomplished and revered voices of his generation.
Though his voice may now be silent, the brilliance of his artistry will echo eternally through the rich tapestry of American music.
