The Williams Sisters Claiming Titles......
The Williams Sisters claiming titles in a land from down under @ The Australian Open added two more trophies to their mantel. Serena Williams defended her title by beating rival doping Justin Henin 64 36 62 who retired from the world of Tennis 20 months ago. No one understood why she retired at #1 a month before defending her title @ the French Open....well I say it was S T E R I O D S!!! However no one wants to address that issue, so I digress. Serena Williams is now tied with the legendary Billie Jean King who has 12 grand slam titles.
The day before Serena's Grand Slam final, she and big sister Venus defended their doubles title by beating the #1 seeded team in straight sets. The sisters now have 11 Grand Slam doubles titles. Not bad for two little girls from Compton. Congrats Ladies, you've shown the world how to win with grace and dignity.

Kevin your are crazy, and passionate about what you believe in. You might be on to something with the steriods theory. Justin's always been a cheater, but for some reason the tennis world gives her a pass. I'm glad Serena whupped that ass.

I totally agree with you Kevin, no one is addressing this issue, because the Tennis world is very racist. Everyone shares your theory. Keep blazing the torch.

Congrats Serena is a true champion and a true champion finds a way through all obstacles.
ReplyDeleteJustin has alway been a cheater that probably wont change.
Congratulations to Serena! She is an outstanding player and is having an excellent career. I just hope she never has another outburst during a match like the one she had at the 2009 US Open.
ReplyDeleteThe match was great...not the best that I've seen, but thoroughly enjoyable. Henin has always been a cheater, and very sneaky. The double standard is always in effect in America and sports figures are not above racism. With that said the Williams sisters always do it with dignity. Serena's outburst at the US Open was her having a John McEnroe moment.

First congrats to Serena....a true champion. As far as Henin is concerned, I just hope she's matured and ready to play without the use of steroids.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought I was the only one thinking that about Henin. It just doesn't add up, and all the signs point to steriod use. Nows she's back and her little pouch gut is gone, which is the first sign of steriods usage.
ReplyDeleteAnyhoo, congrats Serena, you are a true pro.

Congratulation Serena for the win! Of all the players, you worked harder then anybody since only you conquered every match to earn the doubles and single titles. You by far out-shined everybody, even your beautiful trophy can't match your radiance. We love you Serena!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Serena, now more than ever I think you and the US Open Officials gave Kim the US Open match. I was disappointed in your conduct and post match behavior at the awards show. I told my children that you made a mistake and I expect you will not do something so stupid again. Thanks for proving me right. I was not happy with the excessive fine and feel you were unjustly punished. I still think that lineswoman is an idiot because no one should call for a foot fault in a grand slam’s finals unless it is blatant. I am proud of you and admire your recognition that nothing you have accomplished was without the grace and blessings of God. We see so few young people publicly express their faith, so that part of your speech is always a personal high for me. Keep up the good work and defend Wimbledon in the summer! Kudos to big sister Venue too.
ReplyDeleteHi the 2010 Australian Open Champ Serena! Congratulations and countless thanks for your winning Henin. What a marvelous game you show, determination, concentration and variabilities in service fast and spins etc excellent. you deserve the championship definitely. I have no doubt about your winning from the first point15-0 until the two championship points 40-15. I was shouting Come on Serena! Lets go Serena! only one service winner and that is it but you accomplished the match with for hand winner. Oh girl you have no idea how much I was jumping and applauding and crying. I haven't seen your mam so emotional, Venuses tremendous smile was fabulous and the rest of the team too, the only person whom I miss a lot was your dad I can imagine what the happiest moment it was. Last night I had a dream a dream of that Serena defeated Henin and send her back to her retirement. Yeah, you did it, so that today is very special day and nobody will not take it from you so just rejoice, rejoice, rejoice. Serena you are absolutely tennis talent. Tennis Queen

Congrats Serena!! You have always been number one in my eyes despite what the rankings may say. I hope now everyone can shut the f*** up about the incident at the U.S. Open ( which you were unjustly penalized and criticized for) and get back to admiring and enjoying watching one of the greatest champions to ever play the game!! Let's go for the calender grand slam in 2010!!
