I'm Just Saying..
So the Grammy Awards were last night, and Friday I predicted how it would play out...and I was only off by one. Every year African American artists dominate the music industry, and when the Award ceremonies roll around it goes a little something like that this: ALBUM OF THE YEAR - Taylor Swift/RECORD OF THE YEAR - Kings Of Leon/BEST NEW ARTIST - Zac Brown Band/RECORD OF THE YEAR - Single Ladies.......does it sould like a even playing field?
Beyonce' had a very big year, she was nominated for 10 grammys and won 6 which is exciting, but NOT really in the major categories. At some point we need to STAND up and declare 'bullshit' when we see it. Big UP's to Kanye West, who in spite of his mouth went home with ANOTHER Grammy!! One of those GOTCHA BITCH moments, because I know that it killed the Academy to give it to him. LOL
Pink's performance was the highlight of the evenings live performances, and the heartfelt tribute to Michael Jackson, which I felt wasn't long enough.
Mel Gibson had to find out the hard way that you shouldn't piss off the Jews. His return to movie making tanked miserably this weekend at the Box Office. His movie 'Edge of Darkness' only grossed 17.5
In white people crazy news....actor Rip Torn, decided he wanted to the sequel to "Set It Off"....Torn was busted after he allegedly broke into a bank in Connecticut, while carrying a loaded gun. He was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree criminal mischief.
Usher is supposedly dating singer Mya, which is completely false, she likes hoods boys, and so does he....hey I'm Just Saying.. You know what they say...any publicity is good publicity. Hopefully this helps his upcoming Raymond Vs Raymond CD.
Congrats goes out to a new African American Ms. America....Miss Virginia, Caressa Cameron, was crowned Miss America last night at the 2010 Miss America pageant.
Remember to every rumor, there's a certain bit of truth to it.
Hey Oprah, Dave Letterman, Wendy Williams and Ellen..

Michael's tribute was too damn short. The grammys always miss the mark. Beyonce's win of 6 no matter what category is still the highest honer.
ReplyDeletePink performance was superb, Maxwell was awful. Beyonce' looked amazing. Taylor Swift has Kanye to thank.
ReplyDeleteUsher is 'complicated' and he knows it...so I give him a pass. Puffy turned him out, back in the day, and Hollywood is a shitty mess. Get out while you can, IF you can.
