Black Oscars ...

OSCARS - Isaac Hayes showed up to the Academy Awards in 1972 and Showed Out.  It truly makes sense why 'they' are afraid and running scared of us.  The Powers that be are fully aware of our talent and artistry.  Hayes not only showed up and showed out ... He took the Oscar home with him as a WINNER for Best Original Song for a Motion Picture.  A true trailblazer ... His performance over four decades ago ... STILL STANDS OUT!!!  Oh yeah, 'they' are scared and 'they' well should be.  In the clip peep Sammy Davis Jr elation.

79 and Fabulous

Nancy Wilson is an American singer with more than 70 albums, and three Grammy Awards. She has been labeled a singer of bluesjazzcabaretpop and soul; a "consummate actress"; and "the complete entertainer". The title she prefers, however, is "song stylist".  She has received many nicknames including "Sweet Nancy", "The Baby", "Fancy Miss Nancy" and "The Girl With the Honey-Coated Voice", I simply call her a fabulous Elegant lady.

Come back Lisa Nicole ...

Flashback - They were a memorable duo on one of the hottest TV shows of the late '90s: Calista Flockhart as the winsome and lovesick lawyer Ally McBeal and Lisa Nicole Carson, who played her curvy and confident roommate and sidekick, D.A. Renee Raddick.

Now, more than a decade after the show ended, Flockhart is speaking out in support of Carson's decision to open up about her bipolar disorder.

"I think she is brave for telling her story but then again I always thought she was brave about everything," Flockhart tells PEOPLE. "I love her truly, madly and deeply."

Flockhart also raves about her costar's talent. "Lisa Nicole is so gifted and beautiful; such an extraordinary talent. Her uniqueness gave a vitality to every scene."

Of their quirky chemistry, she adds, "She was always dog-loyal and she made me laugh 'til I thought I would explode. I cherish her friendship."

Carson, 46, who first shared her story in Essence in June, talks about her bipolar diagnosis in depth for the first time to PEOPLE magazine.

Flockhart is not the only Ally McBeal costar to speak out in support of Carson. Peter MacNicol, who played eccentric lawyer John Cage on the show, told PEOPLE magazine, "Lisa was a rare performer: a triple threat, a highly gifted singer, actress, and I would add comedienne. I worked with her not only as a fellow performer but directed Lisa as well in several episodes. I mean I pointed the camera at her and watched her be damn near perfect every time."

Goodnight Vanity ...

Blacks snubbed @ Grammys

No No No - The Grammys continues on its typically rock n roll white boy party.  So I'm not surprised by their latest shenanigans.   t looks like we have anoher #snowwhite dilemma brewing. It looks like The Grammy awards will be honoring David Bowie, Glenn Frey and Lemmy but not for Maurice White or Natalie Cole.
The musician, songwriter, producer and founder of the band Earth, Wind & Fire, died last week on at the age of 74 after suffering from Parkinson’s Disease for decades.

According to Page Six: They said ‘Industry insiders are griping that White and Natalie Cole have been banished to a video tribute package with others who died in the past year.
Maurice White, who died on February 4, and Natalie Cole, the singer-song\writer and daughter of Nat King Cole who died on December 31, will be relegated to the video tribute package.
The Grammys, set to air on Monday night, will see an all-white tribute section to remember David Bowie, Glenn Frey of the Eagles, and Lemmy from Motorhead.
An insider told Page Six: ‘The tributes they’ve confirmed are all white. As of yesterday, there was no tribute at all for Maurice because Grammy producers said they didn’t have time.
‘People are afraid to speak on it because it’s the Grammys. But there’s a history of them not acknowledging black artists.’
Another source told the website that the producers are under pressure and still unsure how to acknowledge White’s death, given the artist’s monumental role in popular music.

'Yeah Yeah' Tank it was a female

Okay what's nexxxxxt?  They say you learn something new everyday.  During an interview with The Breakfast Club, Tank went from talking about the music industry to talking about getting his backside serviced. When the topic of Amber Rose and her #fingersinthebootyassbitch comment came up, the R&B singer exclaimed, “No utensils in the salad! You gotta have your hands behind your back … it’s real bobbing for apples like.”

Tank went on to describe his encounter with the female suitor who introduced him to booty-eating. Watch the interview below. Curious minds, did Tank just come out the 'closet' and out himself??

Rest In Peace Maurice White

Hearts of Fire ... RIP Maurice White.  It was my Aunt Annie who introduced me, to the great world called 'Earth Wind and Fire. She would sing all the 'highs' of their 'Keep Your Head' to the Sky' song and I was hooked. I could relate to Maurice White for several reasons, i.e.,was a Sagittarius like me, he had a prominent forehead like me, he was a redbone like me, he was considered different or a little eccentric like me, so early on, I forged a kinship with him.  I loved his vocal tone, his writing and producing.  He was such a visionary helping give inspiration to the careers of some of my favorite artists such as Deniece Williams, The Emotions and Jennifer Holiday.  Maurice White's tapestry helped shaped a magnificent piece of musical history sealed in time.  May his soul rest in peace. KK

'Maurice White, co-founder of Earth, Wind & Fire, died in his sleep Thursday morning ... TMZ has learned.

Maurice died in L.A. after a long battle with Parkinson's. He was diagnosed in 1992 and his condition deteriorated in recent months. The disease had progressed to the point he was forced to stop touring with the band 1994.

The band had a string of hits, including "Shining Star," "September," "Boogie Wonderland," and "After the Love has Gone."

In 2000, the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Maurice was individually inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2010.

Maurice's brother, Verdine, is also a band member.

Although Maurice wasn't touring, he remained involved in the decisions regarding the band.'

The Iconic Visionary ...

Paul Mooney and his BRILLIANCE was one of a kind.  His comedy made he 'fake' ones nervous as 'f*ck', cause he told the truth, and understood white folks better than, they were comfortable with him knowing. Today Mooney is in the early stages of dementia, thankfully we live in the day of YouTube, which will keep his legacy alive and thriving.
