It’s Remarkably Simple Actually ...

Having grown up in Suburbia.  I often time viewed my life through Rose colored glasses.  The view never obscure.  I roamed with a certain freedom.  Never did I once realize that race would play a major part in my world, in my life period.  If we were friends, the least thing that mattered to me, was the pigmentation of a persons skin tone.  Call me naive ... in actuality, I was.  Today I only want to share my world with those, who have full understanding of what my post speaks to.  If you’re offended, or feel alienated.  Perhaps this isn't the friendship and conversation for you.  However if you’re curious, if you want to dialogue, I’m always very open.  I’ve learned that the greatest understandings have come from a once tense conversation.  I’m here!

Adele’s 25 becomes the first album by a woman to spend its first seven weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart since 1987 ...

'The only other album by a woman to chart its first seven weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 was Whitney Houston’s second album, Whitney, which bowed atop the list dated June 17, 1987, and ruled for 11 straight frames (through the chart dated Sept. 5). Whitney was also the first album by a woman to debut at No. 1 (in an era when the chart was tabulated through ranked reports that retailers submitted to Billboard).'

Landmark ...

On this date August 30th in the year 1966 Constance Baker Motley was confirmed as U.S. district judge and became the first Black woman on the federal bench. She was also the first African American woman elected to the New York State Senate in 1964.... In 1965, she was chosen Manhattan Borough President—the first woman in that position. In 1966, President Lyndon Johnson named her a district judge for the United States District Court Southern District of New York, making her the first African American woman federal court judge, a position she held, including a term as chief judge, until her death.

Motley handed down a breakthrough decision for women in sports broadcasting in 1978, when she ruled that a female reporter must be allowed into a Major League Baseball locker room.
