Today I bask in memories of the many wonderful times and blessings of you in my life.  It was always your tender care and easy-breezy ways of your unconditional love.  From day one GOD was always your center, the core of you Oooh and those noon Rosary Prayers were LEGEND.  Your lowkey approach, quiet in your nature and spirit.  The teachings were always direct, specialized and  consistent with the good Bible, put GOD first and to leave things along when ‘that ain’t your business’.
I sometimes cry that you are no longer here, but then quickly laughter and smiles come into place.  We had the best of times. though briefer than I would've liked.  Today I take comfort in knowing that
you're with Mark, healed and finally at peace resting.  Spreading your wonderment to all who are in need of your excellent charm, food, wisdoms and you’re wholeheartedly laughter.

I'm Keeping my eyes  and thoughts on Jackie, Michael, Seneca, Shontela, Jon-Marie. Carrington, Creighton, Kameron, Kenzie. Alana, Zaria, Jaelynn and Keith.  Needless to say, my work is cut out

Nick Cannon Stand Strong ...

NO NO NO ...... We are NOT cancelling Nick Cannon.  He said what he said.  When passion is involved, words, places and things, get said and misconstrued .  Not always meant.  We are ALL guilty of speaking out of turn, even yes sometimes at in appropriate times.  Nick Cannon is NOT the enemy here.  The Powers that be, who resent the ‘Black Lives Movement’  for Justice and Equakity, those people are mad and angry,  that this movement is beyond their grasp and control.  Cannons outburst, was just what they needed to align themselves with.  Don’t you dare be fooled and swayed, for one second,  by getting sidetracked from what the focus really is all about.   CHANGE occurs when the oppressors are nervous and trembling in their slaves boots.

Here’s what should be cancelled.  FORTY-FIVE!!! Let’s face it, in 2020 they are STILL hanging BLACK People.  White people STILL don’t understand why BLACK life Matter.  We have tried to soften the landing in helping to explain, the errors of their wrong side of history thoughts.  Quite simply, we’re tired of trying to appease your inadequate inability to comprehend why it occurs. The conversation is complete repetitive rubbish.  Your excuses are old, outlandish and dated.  YET when Cannon spoke  out of turn, he’s cancelled from EVERYTHING.  Some Black people have even gotten into the ring, a fight that isn’t theirs, however chose to  weigh in against Cannon .... STOP!   As a people, we need to STAND in our convictions and not jump ship, when they going gets tough.

If Donald Trump can be a racist, a Narcissist, a bigot, a MURDERER, a compulsive liar, sexualize people, abuse females, use the N-word, ignite race wars AND have Anti Semitic remarks, BUT is still the ruler of our free America.

I think Nick Cannon can be forgiven, for his error.  He has MORE positives than negatives in his favor.  Cannon has been in the Entertainment industry for over 25 years.  He apologized.  This mistake, is simply that a mistake, a temporary moment of bad judgement.  To the Jewish community, he apologized, let the forgiveness conversation begin.  We can UNITE!!  We NEED each other.

Added to the plot are the two brothers at the heart of the Jussie Smollett hate crime saga are walking back their decision to not testify against the disgraced actor, saying Thursday they plan to continue to cooperate with investigators. 

Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo, who claim Smollett paid them to stage a hate crime, announced late Wednesday the Chicago Police Department couldn’t locate belongings seized during a 2019 raid and for that reason, they were no longer willing to help investigators. 

Their lawyer, Gloria Schmidt Rodriguez, released a statement on their behalf Thursday afternoon saying they’ve had a change of heart now that the belongings have been found. 

“Due to the intervention of Special Prosecutor Dan Webb and his team, earlier today we were informed that a properly registered 9mm handgun that was missing from a locked safe seized by the Chicago Police Department on February 14, 2019, has been located,” Schmidt Rodriguez’s statement reads. 

“The missing gun was a reason for Abel and Ola’s decision to cease voluntary cooperation, in addition to the unnecessary complication brought to this situation by CPD’s Corporate Counsel in treating them like suspects. Abel and Ola will recommence their cooperation in the Smollett case now that the handgun has been produced by the Special Prosecutor’s office.” 

Last winter, CPD investigators zeroed in on Abel and Ola as the two primary suspects wanted in connection with a hate crime Smollett allegedly endured. 

When the two brothers were questioned, they told investigators they were friends with Smollett and he’d asked the brothers to help him stage a hate crime because he was dissatisfied with his treatment on the set of Fox’s hit show “Empire,” where Smollett played a supporting role. 

Prior to the brother’s testimony, their home had been raided and they’d been treated like suspects until CPD detectives turned the case against Smollett and decided not to bring any charges against the brothers. 

For “more than a year,” the brothers have been trying to get back the items seized during the raid and on June 5, Abel filed a motion with the court requesting to inspect all of the items that were seized, their lawyer said. 

Judge Richard Linn granted the request but during the inspection, Abel realized his legally owned handgun, along with ammunition, was missing, Schmidt Rodriguez said. 

“Despite the Brothers making themselves continually available to CPD, CPD’s Corporate Counsel, and the Special Prosecutor’s office, 24 hours after it was discovered that the handgun was missing, CPD’s Corporate Counsel’s office sent an email directly to Abel essentially blaming him for not including the second search warrant for the gun in his motion and refusing to produce the gun for inspection on that basis,” the brothers’ lawyer wrote in a statement. 

“Abel and Ola believe that the CPD’s Corporate Counsel concocted this excuse to distract away from the fact that the police could not produce the handgun on June 23. Simply stated, the inability of the CPD’s Corporate Counsel to facilitate the logistics of getting all parties to inspect all of the property seized caused Abel and Ola Osundairo to feel alienated and uncomfortable with the lack of transparency in this process.” 

Special Prosecutor Dan Webb, who was appointed to re-investigate Smollett, intervened and was able to get the handgun produced.

“The Osundairo Brothers at no time lost any faith in the Special Prosecutor’s case against Mr. Smollett and have been vocal that their grievance was squarely with the CPD and their Corporate Counsel. Abel and Ola Osundairo continue to stand 100 percent by their earlier statements and testimony about their involvement in the staged attack and, thanks to the issue being resolved today, will continue working cooperatively with Special Prosecutor Dan Webb and his team.”

Enough IS Enough ....

This unjust war is NOT something people of color created.  400 years of oppression.  The conversation can’t be fully addressed, without nervous unrest accusations, that deviate the TOPIC at hand.  Facts show the world  collectively, witnessed the death of George Floyd at the knee/hands of Police Officer Derek Chauvin.  That’s the obvious topic.  Add in our current directive administration, led by The President of the United States, who clearly approves of Racism and Discrimination on a daily basis. 

Please understand that looting is an act of  FRUSTRATION and angst. It’s a PLEA to hear our cry. How much longer can Police bully and dominant a race, based merely on the color of our skin? That’s the long-standing QUESTION.  Isn’t it time, we get an answer? 

Share this truth with the Babies, especially young men, but with all, we must have dialogue with them, answer their questions.  Knowledge is KEY. Make sure that your children understand, the right and fair opinion, not your opinion.  Educate them, teach them to govern themselves accordingly and within the law.  It’s starts with knowing your rights.  Visit Police stations, have conversations with the Officers.  You have RIGHTS, find out what they are, address them.  We must band together.  It’s essential! We’re soooo much better than that.  Growth is ONLY achieved when discomfort is addressed.  Let the conversation begin.  Do I make you uncomfortable? Well your silence makes me uncomfortable 🥵.

So Hard to Say Goodbye ....

Grandfather for so long, you were my Hero, my Favorite for everything.  When I got the call today, about your passing, so many emotions rushed through my mind.  I'm left with nothing  but memories of a time gone by.  Life is all about the encounters and the lessons, learned along the way.  With each breathe that I take, I owe a large part of that to you.  Regret exists too, but nothing trumps the impact that we provided one another.  I rest in comfort today, knowing that at 95 years of age, you surpassed your three scores and ten.  You are with Grandmother Oleava, where you so wanted to be, for the last nine years.  To merely exist without her, was the most heartbreaking thing, to watch.  I know that we will meet again, I know that you will come to me, in my dreams, to let me know that you're well, that we're back to the  place, that we use to be, and most al,l to let me know that you're FINALLY at home, at peace and resting still.  Wherever you may roam, I roam with you, I remember you, I will always love and miss you.  Kiss Grandmother for me.  Peaceful Journey
