I'm Just Saying..
R&B star Jill Scott was sued Wednesday by her longtime record label, which is accusing the multi-platinum songstress of skipping out halfway through a six-album contract and potentially owing millions of dollars in damages. As much as Jill enjoys grits, toast, and scramble eggs, she better get it together, because when you go up against a record label, few win. Good luck!!
Ever wonder why director Lee Daniels always attaches himself to such dark vehicles to direct? He directed Halle in "Monsters Ball" Cuba Gooding and Helen Mirren in "Shadow Boxer" and Mo'Nique in "Precious" makes me question his upbringing. Must have been a crazy life. Whenever I see him, looks like ole boy has has a few substances up in that system of his.
Sometimes he's black and sometimes he's white....The ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy is really about to be a wrap! General Colin Powell, who was one of the main opponents of allowing gays to serve openly in the military back in the ’90’s, publicly addressed the policy today saying he’s changed his mind.
OH HELL NAW....Cancer-stricken Elizabeth Edwards is telling pals that the former Senator John Edwards beat her during a horrific marriage-ending fight, “John lost his temper big-time,” revealed a close friend of Elizabeth. “She has the divorce papers drawn up, but she can amend them to charge John with domestic violence. “She’s holding that over his head right now – and he’s scared. Elizabeth is in control.” Elizabeth privately disclosed all the shocking details of the alleged attack, says a close friend. The friend spoke in detail about the terrifying incident – and passed a lie detector test regarding the shocking fight.
Hollywood is going to make a movie about Milli Vanilli, and I'm wondering why. Perhaps they can get Omarion and Robin Thicke to star in it, because both of them cats should stick to lip syncing. The Milli Vanilli story was gangsta, they took Hollywood's money, and beat them at their own game. And let's not forget how the made the Grammy committee look like complete IDIOTS, when they awarded them the Best New Artist Grammy!
Singer/Actress Brandy got cozy with rap superstar Flo Rida at Haze Nightclub at Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. “The two arrived together holding hands and having an intimate conversation,” Oh my Brandy trying to become relevant again, and NOT for selling Indian hair.
Fantasia was on Momma O's show yesterday, telling us what we already knew, that she was so broke that at one time she didn't have $20 to buy a pizza. When I look at her reality show, it makes me sick to my stomach, her family is trifling from her mother on down, to her dumb ass brother Tee Tee. If we're to continue to support her music, we are giving her family a pass to be unemployed and dead beat.
White people save the day AGAIN...at least in their mind. CNN's Anderson Cooper has decided to adopt a Haitian baby. Awww .... UH NOT!!! Another kid will grow up confused, asking daddy why do I have two daddy's and why am I black AND you're not!! SMH .. I'm Just Saying..
Anyone who missed the BET Honors show, it airs again this Saturday Night!! Great performances and true black star power.
Country star Carrie Underwood will be taking on a role in the indie drama Soul Surfer based on Bethany Hamilton, the 13-year-old girl who lost her arm in a shark attack and went on to win professional championships. Carrie is the true country star, which can't be easy to watch little bambi Taylor Swift get all those accolades. Hang in there Carrie, I'm rooting for you to come out on top.
It's BLACK HISTORY MONTH...know your struggles, so you can make History...Frederick Douglass, Louis Armstrong, Patricia Harris, Martin Luther King, Coretta King, Reverend Dr. Joseph Lowery, Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, Jane Pittman, Ella Fitzgerald, Langston Hughes, James Baldwin, Dr. Robert Scott are just a few of our greats, in which have played a part in our equality. BRAVO!!
Remember to every rumor, there's a certain bit of truth to it.
Hey Oprah, Dave Letterman, Wendy Williams and Ellen..

your acknowledgment of Black History Month was a nice touch. I had to look up a few of those names, but that's cool. Education is always what's up.
ReplyDeleteI love love love Jill Scott. Hopefully she got herself a great lawyer.
ReplyDeleteLeon is dark, but that's what makes him a intriguing director.
ReplyDeleteCarrie Underwood is beautiful, and a media darhling. I would love to know how she really feels about Taylor Swift.
ReplyDeleteHey get off of Robin Thicke, I'm certain that he can sing better than you can.

Are you racist? A child is placed into a home, that's the bigger picture. Offering it a life, that others weren't afforded. Culturely they may face battles, but hopefully the angst will be embraced.
ReplyDeletejohn Edwards is a running scared little man. He doesn't know what to do with himself, and he only thinks of self. His poor wife is fighting for her life. He will have a lot to answer for.

Great Interview by Oprah Winfrey. She made Fantasia very comfortable and at ease.
