Happy Birthday, to my first musical love. Today Gladys Knight celebrates her 79th Birthday. As a young kid, secular music wasn’t allowed in our home … somehow I discovered Ms. Gladys Knight, fortunately for me, I never looked back. All of my peers were digging Shalamar, Caneo, Switch, The Brothers Johnson, Wham, Sting etc.., Me being an old soul. I had Gladys Knight. Then came Teena, Ella and of course Whitney. Knight continues to tour to sold out crowds, across the global world and her ‘Gift’ that voice, is STILL impeccable.
