I'm Just Saying...

When has Jennifer Aniston EVER been cute? I don't get it, what's the hype with this man/woman, the nose is HUGE, it wasn't so long ago, that she let her then husband Brad Pitt work on a movie with sexy ass Angelina Jolie, which shows you that NOT only is she not a cute girl, but she's NOT a very bright girl, you see how that story played out. I'm just saying

Let's salute beauties, Halle, Jennifer Lopez, Beverly Johnson, Heidi Klum, Angelina Jolie, Carrie Underwood, Paula Patton....thats a good start for a Monday.

Demi Moore recently said in a interview for French Marie Claire that she hasn't had ANY plastic surgery done, yeah right, and I guess next you'll say that your daughter Rumer just won the Ms. America pageant.

OMG Chris Brown used the excuse for whupping Rihanna's ass, he's claiming that he blacked out? Word of advice for you Chris.. listen closely..FIRE YOUR ATTORNEY!! He's not providing you with damage control. C'mon bruh, I'm generally in your corner, but this excuse is the weakest crock I've ever heard. Take your punishment like a man, you want to play Floyd Mayweather, get off your mother's nutts and own your sh*t.

DJ AM passed away this weekend. How ironic is it that the movie Final Destination opened on the some weekend. It wasnt so long ago DJ AM and his partner Travis Barker survived a plane crush less than 18 months ago. AM's passing is very tragic and untimely. R.I.P. and may the music play on.

Whitney Houston's 'I Look To You' CD is FINALLY being released today. All I can say is Whitney bring your A game to GMA and your appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show. You need to prove your critics wrong, two great performances will shut those naysayers down, BUT a bad performance will SHUT your career down. I'm just saying...Whitney good luck, ALL eyes are on YOU!!

Superstar ICON Michael Jackson 51st birthday was Saturday, and the poor man STILL isn't buried. Is it just me or is the Jackson family unit twisted and strange? Kinda makes your understand why this man went to such extremes.

Rambo 5 is in the works....all I got to say on that is Sylvester Stallone sit your OLD ASS down!!

Remember to ever rumor, there's a certain bit of truth to it!!

Hey Oprah, Dave Letterman, Wendy Williams and Ellen...

Finally, WHITNEY's 'I Look To You' is here!!

Pop Legend Icon Whitney Houston's first studio CD in seven years, drops today. "I Look To You" is her first release of all new material. For those of you who are expecting the Whitney Houston of 25 years ago, WAKE UP and LET IT GO!!! No one stays the same, well few stay the same, you have Gladys Knight and Patti LaBelle whose voices are 'still' golden.

Whitney has been to hell and back, and though I don't think this CD really tells the story of true triumph, it does tell the story of someone humbling themselves and admitting to being human. For anyone else this CD would be a triumph, but for Ms. Houston with a big budget, and a high profile return. I think Clive Davis didn't really do her justice. At the end of the day, someone like Whitney Houston shouldn't have to give in to today's trends or gimmicks.

The current day best selling female is Beyonce' Knowles, who STILL can't touch Whitney Houston vocal wise, and when Whitney was Knowles age, she was singing miles around her, with that said. music has drastically changed. To sell two million copies these days is considered a monster hit, well back in the day Ms. Houston sold a million copies in one week. Some 170 millions copies later, she back in the game.

Some worthy numbers are "Worth It", "Calling You Tonight", "I Got You", "Million Dollar Bill" and her remake of Leon Russell's "A Song For You" which has been turned into a dance number, and it actually works, and could work even better with a proper remix, which would make it a bonafide club banger.

This CD sets up for what Whitney will follow it up with, maybe that will be the real test of her focus and rehab. I for one am rooting for her, I like the CD, but I was expecting pure pop, and lesser named producer's to make a artist who is already a superstar, succumb to their ideas of what should or should not work for her. Whitney always says that the 'record isn't over yet', and I believe her, with proper care for her instrument, I do think she will win, as I said before I'm rooting for her.

Michael Jackson -- How Cool Was He?

Here's a article from JET, when Michael was almost 21. Very cool and not tainted by the crazies that would come to terrorize him. Enjoy
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael Joseph (Smiley) Jackson, the angelic-voiced lead singer of the world famous vocal quintet of Jackson brothers, is a handsome young man whose onstage magnetism and magic are exceeded only by his offstage majesty and meek heartedness.
Born the fifth of six talented sons of Joseph and Katherine Jackson in Gary, Ind., nearly 21 years ago (Aug. 29, 195 , he is a Virgo, whose trait is unselfishness, and is moved by magnetic forces which draw so many admirers into his life that love is his for the taking. And his love-struck fans often do strange things to show their affection for him.
When one beautiful Black teenager recently boarded a packed plane and spotted him seated with his brothers, she stared in disbelief, began breathing heavily and became so excited that she started wetting in her panties and froze in her tracks as urine trickled down her legs.
At the arrival gate where girls had gathered to meet the Jacksons, a blonde teenager squeezed through the crushing crowd, slipped past security guards, pulled Michael toward her and tried to make him kiss her.
Returning recently from a world tour celebrating their 10th anniversary in show business, Michael, the only Jackson son who has reached the age of consent and is still unmarried, waded through a room full of mail, sorting out those proposing marriage. Bashful Michael answered them the same: “Thank you for the beautiful letter. It’s very nice. And we will always love you. Love, Michael Jackson and the Jacksons.”
Mild-mannered Micahel makes it clear that he gets no satisfaction writing the same letter to all of those female fans who want him for a husband. But he responds in brief dignity because he actually fears love-sick fans.
Sitting in the living room of his family’s home located on a parcel of land in Encino, Calif., purchased form the sprawling estate of the late lady-killer actor Clark Gable of Gone With The Wind fame, the young and eligible bachelor talked about marriage, dating and a wide range of topics which deeply concern him.
“I don’t like to break hearts,” he said solemnly and shyly, shifting his 5-foot, 9 ½ -inch body in a sofa chair. “I don’t really know these people and, gosh, it’s a weird thing.” He continued:
“That, I think, is the weird part about show business. You portray an image. And those people are into you so long, buying your records. You’re all over their walls. They wake up seeing you. They wake up thinking about you. You’re totally on their mind. And when they meet you in person, they feel they have been knowing you for a long time. But I don’t know them. You see, that’s the painful part of show business—the breaking of the hearts. Do you know what that does to them? God, some of them go to the point of committing suicide because they get real serious. That’s what I don’t know how to handle.”
For the young female bubblegum crowd whose voices are now turning from no to yes, he is especially fearful. About them he says, “You have to be careful because sometimes love can reverse on you. They feel they can’t get you and they’ll go to the point of plotting and planning terrible things on you or do terrible things to hurt you. That’s why it’s important to be nice, but sincerely nice.”
He recalled the nasty rumor that surfaced last year, falsely claiming that he had undergone a sex change. The rumor is not dead yet and he said his encounter with a love-crazed blonde at the aforementioned airport helps to revive it. “This beautiful girl with blonde hair was trying her hardest to pull me into her to kiss her,” Michael remembers. “She said, ‘You’re so sexy, kiss me.’ When I showed no kind of interest in her, she said, ‘What’s wrong, you fag?’ and walked off.”
He laments that he still has to tell people: “There’s a reason why I was created male. I’m not a girl. And what kills me the most and makes me want to break down in tears is when little kids, seven and eight, come to me asking me that. I say, no, and please tell all your other little friends it’s not true.”
What disturbs Michael more than the rumor is the kind of mail he receives from some of the bubble gum set. “You wouldn’t believe the mail I get. I mean some of it gets real vulgar,” he revealed. To him, such mail is as shocking as seeing a priest at a movie house watching The Devil And Mrs. Jones or Deep Throat. “Some of the mail gets real funky, not polite at all,” he says. “They tell you the stuff they want to do to you and everything, and how they’re going to do it. I just read and go, ‘Oh my God, these girls.’ There’s not much charm in girls anymore, like the guy used to always pick up the phone and call the girl. She would never call the guy. She would sit there all day until the phone would ring for her. But now the girls bother you to death….You see girls today 11 years old with bags and lipstick and eyeliner and lashes as well. They feel they’re women and they’re not.”
Don’t get the impression that the soft-spoken singer is a saint or square. Looking like the cliché description—tall, dark, and handsome—Michael is very much aware that he can now do at age 20 what he used to sing about when he was 10. One well-known witness is Oscar-winning actress Tatum O’Neal, teenaged daughter of actor Ryan O’Neal.
A reporter for Modern People two years ago quoted Miss O’Neal as once saying she couldn’t wait to have her first affair. If she followed up the widely publicized comment with action involving manly Michael, he is not the kind to kiss and tell. He declined to discuss intimate details of dating Tatum, but was anxious to set the record straight about their romance. First, he readily admits the parallels in their lives: Both have protective parents. Tatum is a daddy’s girl and Michael is a mama’s boy. Both are attractive and wealthy. She rides in a chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce and millionaire Michael drives his own Rolls. Both are very shy. Michael is one of the brightest stars of the future and Tatum is, too.
“I want all those people who read JET to just know that we’re mainly good friends,” Michael assured. Admitting that there have been criticisms about their relations, Michael mused: “People take it to crazy means and crazy extents and I just tell them we’re really, really, really good friends. That’s all I say. They say, ‘Well how good friends are you? Is there any romance going on?’ I say, yes sometimes but not all the time.”
Although dating is part of his lifestyle, he is more interested in developing a new lifestyle around his family’s home which is now undergoing extensive renovations. Emphasizing that he is not ready to move out on his own like his four married brothers (Jackie, Jermaine, Tito and Marlon), Michael explains:
“I’ve always wanted to do this for my mother. She loves homes and everything and I do things by feeling and force. I don’t feel that it’s time for me to move away yet. There are so many things I want to do just staying here.
“If I move out now, I would die of loneliness. Most people who move out go to discos every night. They party every night. They invite friends over and I don’t do any of those things. I would really die of loneliness.”
Michael’s renovation plans will include the addiction of a tennis court, a remodeled swimming pool, a gym room, a movie room, a rehearsal studio and a library.
Living at home with his mother, Katherine, father Joseph, brother Randy, and sisters, Janet and LaToya, the young entertainer explores his many talents and grapples with social and religious concerns.
Uppermost among his concerns are religion and racism. A devout Jehovah’s Witness, like his mother, he says: “I believe in the Bible and I try to follow the Bible. I know that I’m not an angel and I’m not a devil either. I try to be as best as I can and I try to do what I think is right. It’s that simple….I don’t just pray at night. I pray at different times during the day. Whenever I see something beautiful, I say, ‘Oh, God, that’s beautiful.’ I say little prayers like that all through the day.”
To cope with the stresses of show business, Michael says he turns to his deity, not drugs. “As corny as it sounds, natural highs are the greatest highs in the world,” he attests. “The stars, the mountains, children, babies smiling are just magic,” he happily beamed.
The one thing that dims this glow is the pervasive racism that’s rampant in the world today, especially in America, the world traveler observes. Recalling how badly the singing Jacksons have been treated in southern cities, he said that it was difficult to believe.
“The people told us just deal with it (racism) because that’s how the South is,” he said and added: “That’s ignorance and it’s taught because it’s not genetic at all.
“I’m really not a prejudiced person at all. I believe that people should think about God more and creation because if you look at the many wonders inside the human bodies—the different colors of organs…and all these colors do different things in the human body—why can’t we do it as people?
“That (racism) is the only thing I hate. I really do. And that’s why I try to write, put it in songs, put it in dance, put it in my art—to teach the world. If politicians can’t do it, poets should put it in poetry and writers should put it in novels. That’s what we have to do and I think it’s so important to save the world.”
As widely read as he is traveled, Michael, a private high school graduate who once quit public school because girls were always screaming and pulling on him, said: “I love to read. I wish I could advise more people to read. There’s a whole new world in books. If you can’t afford to travel, you travel mentally through reading. You can see anything and go anyplace you want to in reading.”
Traveling and reading have greatly influenced his religious and racial views. About his travels, Michael explains: “Wherever you go, man-made things are man-made, but you’ve got to get out and see God’s beauty of the world.”
Reflecting upon America’s racial problems, he said: “I wish I could borrow from other countries, say, like Venezuela or Trinidad, the real love and color-blind people and bring it to America. When you travel, you realize how different America is. God, I hate to say this but our people are brainwashed.”
Of all his travels, he says his most emotional and moving experiences came in travels in Dakar, Senegal. “I’m going to raise my hand (to God) on this one,” he lit up like a light. “I always thought that Blacks, as far as artistry, were the most talented race on earth. But when I went to Africa, I was even more convinced. They do incredible things over there….They got the beats and the rhythm. I really see where drums come from. It makes you think that all Blacks have rhythm….I don’t want the Blacks to ever forget that this is where we come from and where our music comes from. And if we forget, it (Black history) would really get lost. I want us to remember.”

Path and Frailties/TGIF

Happy Friday Everyone,

Ever notice in the work place how strangers feel so comfortable asking you the most personal things? I'm always amazed, when you don't comply to their questions, immediately you're the hostile, and aloof one. LOL I always say never talk religion, politics or race at work. Errors will happen, someone will get their feelings hurt along the way, forgiveness is optional. I've done some things that I'm not sorry for, and I didn't feel the need to apologize. Haven't you?

Life is given, what you do with it, determines how long you stay here. The mind is such a fragile machine, most of us are holding it together by a slender thread, the slightest obstruction can take you over the edge. Some cushion the pain by staying medicated, some take their frustrations out on the one's closest to them, while other's exercise to get their aggressions out and some just retreat within.

Lack of finances could be the reason, struggle is struggle, some gave up the fight. With the recession in full swing we're all just a couple pay checks away from being homeless. To live on the street wasn't the homeless person's life plan, but it happened and they deal with that reality head on, you may see a homeless person, who has it better than most of us do. They are bold and driven. It takes a lot of nerve to ask a stranger for money on a daily basis. Some of them make more money than you could ever imagine, and live a better lifestyle than people who go to work everyday.

Some homeless people are the most brilliant people that you could ever meet. Their dream was too big for life to fulfill. They went to school, because they were taught it's the American way, to success and wealth. When the true reality sets in, education isn't always a sure thing to monetary security or fulfillment.

No matter the cards that I'm dealt, or how much pain I may endure, I still believe that you are formed in the image you dwell upon, you gravitate toward the object you love. Trust leaps forth to meet on every plane. You advance to meet what you seek, you read what you write, and you look upon what you love. Each soul, will seek another soul closest to self image, all to generate light of life for the world. The true blessing comes from the intent, which explores a greater understanding.

What Are You Doing With Your Life?

P.S. Pop Legend Whitney Houston's CD "I Look To You" drops this Monday August 31-2009

Command Performance

This performance 'still' takes my breathe away. It was 1993 and such a happy time in my life. Basically just a kid, I was figuring it all out. She won 11 Billboard Awards that year, my boy Anthony and I went to the Award Show at the Shrine Auditorium. She was AMAZING and didn't disappoint. She was drama, class and full on delivery at the PEAK of her career. Nobody does it better, and in my lifetime, I don't if they ever will. Love you madly Whitney!!!

WHITNEY filming the 'Million Dollar Bill' video...

Is it just me or does this lady look amazing? Damn Whitney don't hurt em, well maybe just a little. She's BACK, the 'I Look To You' CD will be released on Monday August 31-2009. The reviews are raves....dont you just love a good comeback story? To hell and back, she's been through it, and lived to tell about it ALL. Tune in Sept 14th, for the 24th Season opener of the Oprah Winfrey show, Whitney will be the featured guest for a sit down deep dish interview. Get your popcorn out, it's going to be SMOKIN hot!!

I'm Just Sayin....

The Chris Breezy and Rihanna Cheesey saga continues. The judge ruled on yesterday, five years probration for Breezy. He has to stay away from Cheesey at all costs. Now we all know that Breezy will get 'it' anytime he wants some brain from Cheesey, so at the end of the day. Is Rihanna really the 'saint' in this situation, HELL Ta Da Naw. No one ever deserves a beat down - ever. I'm Just Sayin...TWO SIDES people. When it finally comes out, I will be there standing saying I TOLD YOU SO!!

Can it get any crazier? I guess so!! Latoya Jackson is going to be a co-host on the View in September for two days. WHO KNEW!! She's batty and bonkers. What will she say? Who the hell knows, but one things for sure it will be CRAZY, and I will be right there to witness the train wreck.

Meagan Fox has just signed on to be the next 'Catwoman' well Meagan, you're no Michelle Pfeiffer, who truly did her thing in Batman...Meow!!

American Family Royality Senator Ted Kennedy passed away. The Kennedy family have always endured so many storms. Almost seems like a curse. If I'm ever on a plane and one of the Kennedys are a passenger, trust me I'm getting off that damn plane...C'mon I'm just sayin!!
R.I.P. Teddy Kennedy you made being a liberal cool.

Rapper Lil Wayne recorded a PSA encouraging kids to stay in school. I can just imagine the spot going something like this "Hey you little bastards, stay your muthaf*cking a**es in school, or I pistol whup your punk bitch a**es" LMAO I think it's scary to have Lil Wayne encourage anything. What I can easily SEE him doing is a horror movie, because looking at his mug scares the hell out of me, and I sure he scares you as well....right?

Kate and Jon, Tiny and whoever, Frankie and sidekick hustle...ENOUGH already. Reality TV is getting more and more ridiculous. All whack, so who gives a phuck.

Rapper Nas Escobar has to pay his ex-wife singer Kelis 55.000.00 a month, who knew that Escobar pockets were so deep. Court documents states that he makes 240.000.00 a month. Guess Kelis 'Milkshake' did bring one boy to the yard. It's all fair in love and war. Too bad though, because they made a lovely couple.

Remember to every rumor, there's a certain percent of truth to it.

Hey Oprah, Dave Letterman, Wendy Williams and Ellen..

Aaliyah Haughton R.I.P.

GONE TOO SOON!!!! Her light still shines...We will never forget you Aaliyah!!!

I'm Just Sayin....

Some things you never get use to like Paula Abdul, being a judge on A.I. C'mon really? Have you ever listend to any of her CD's? I'm amazed, she's bitching and moaning about a raise. Well Paula you're 40 something, NO longer revelant, AND you cant sing, BUT A.I. is willing to pay you over 5 million dollars a year, I say that beats being a swing shift manager at Target...c'mon I'm just sayin...

Singer Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder are ON again. They're the new version of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. Let's just hope that it doesn't take Amy fourteen years to wake up, like Whitney Houston.

Speaking of Whitney Houston, Wal-Mart chains will not be selling her "I Look To You"CD, because apparently, they have a exclusive deal with Miley Cyrus to sell her "Time of My Life" EP. How absurd!!! Miley Cyrus.....I DONT GET IT!!! What's you purpose? However she is paid though.

When you watch HBO's 'True Blood' dont you wish you knew a vampire?

Tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams are now part owner's of the Miami Dolphins. You GO girls!!

Lindsay Lohan's neighbors want her out!
After her latest "burglary" this weekend, the folks living in close proximity to the drama magnet are looking for her to move out. Lindsay America is still watching, but we're getting really bored - GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!!!

Heather Locklear is returning to Melrose Place. I'm certain the her former BFF Denise Richardson didn't call to congratulate her. I'm just saying, you know how fickle relationships and friendships are in La La land. Wasnt it just yesterday Paris Hilton and Lisa Nicole were BFF's?

Remember to every rumor there's a bit of truth to it!

Hey Oprah, Dave Letterman, Wendy Williams, and Ellen...

I'm Just Sayin....

Okay Okay Okay...ENOUGH already!! Michael Jackson passed away. Please let this man rest in peace FOR A CHANGE!! Truthfully the media and gossip mongers, dont care about this man, nor his children or family. It just makes for good ratings and sales. White america stop caring about Michael Jackson when the child molestation charges arose, which he was found to be NOT GUILTY. Black america made jokes about his appearance. Truth and factual is this Michael Jackson was a Pop Icon and broke records with his All Time Best Selling recording of the "Thriller" record release. He was a LEGEND with legions of fans WORLDWIDE!!! He broke color barriers and transcended cultures. That's Michael Jackson....how he died should not be topic...the topic is that he passed, and the world is still mourning our loss.

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are no longer keeping their relationship - which has resulted in both becoming separated from their spouses - under wraps. NEWSFLASH when you're caught leaving a sleazy hotel, your secret is already out. Mr. Rimes is about to get PAID!! poor Mrs Cibrian, what will she get? C'mon I'm just sayin...

Jay - Z retired once and then again, and now he's releasing BLUEPRINT III. The project has so many guest appearances, makes you wonder why did he even bothered. Could it be that at 39 his gig is up in the world of Hip Hop?

Rihanna got the sympathy vote when Chris Brown gave her a beat down. Did you ever question what lead up to the madness? Word on the street is she gave him Herpes!! She seems to get 'it' in with EVERYONE!!! You've heard the term f*cking for tracks, well babygirl is at the top of that list. WIth lackluster vocals, guess it all makes sense.

Meagan Fox seems to think that she's the 'new' Angelina Jolie...well NOT!!!We 'still' love Angelina Jolie.

Madonna and Angelina Jolie, okay I don't get it, why the adoption of African babies? Angelina could learn a lot from Madonna, because whether or not I agree with them adopting. Madonna does go the extra mile to make sure that her litten african doll's hair and appearance is on point.

Jamie Foxx, Raz B and Mario nude pictures has surfaced on different media sights. Understand, that whenever a leak happens, it's because it was intentional. Jamie talks about his package ALL the time. Wonder why he doesn't tell the rest of the story? Maybe one day Wendy Williams will let the cat out of the bag "How YOU Doin".

Melanie Griffith is back in rehab. I say if you enjoy your vice, I salute you. truthfully, did she ever stop drinking?

Paris Hilton, Tori Spelling, Heidi Montag, Kevin Federline and Denise Richardson....WHY...NO ONE CARES!!

Remember for every rumor, there's a certain bit of truth to it. That you can best believe.

Hey Oprah, Dave Letterman, Wendy Williams and Ellen...

Spirits Having Flown/TGIF

Another Friday..

Last week a very close friend passed away in her sleep. In my group of friends, she was one of the oldest, she was like a sister/mother to us. Her passing came out of nowhere, and when I got the news I almost couldn't breathe. It likes a horrific dream, but you know its not. I'm left with years of memories, which is a blessing. We had the greatest times, I mean really great times.
I found myself sleeping a lot and not wanting to talk to anyone or deal with anything. I'm numb and so removed. Interestingly enough, I realize that the loss isn't as great as the gain, because your memories are yours for a lifetime, and I'm a much better person for having her in my life. I'm slowing participating in life again, as I should, and it's the thing she would want for me/us...to do LIVE!!

As we continue on with the focus on friendship, it's a constant reminder to give flowers while your loved ones are here on earth. Ame and I were great friends for over 18 years, and in those eighteen years, a lot of living, growing, developing, care and concentration was illustrated. We grew up together, we shared some highs and the occasional lows. To have a honest friendship is something that we all aspire to fulfill. Its never easy getting to that comfortable place. To be comfortable with someone takes time, and trust. We were that to each other, and effortlessly, we connected. I think we were two guarded kids, who grew up in the church with deep religious beliefs, expectations and questions.

These past ten days, I've felt her spirit with me, and it made me wonder where do we go to next. How one day you can be here, and the next day gone in a instant. How dreams, seem and can be so life like and very real. I allowed myself to be still, and really think about the times that we shared, and I've wondered what work is needed here, for me to see my friend again. I'm not unique, because at some point in our lives we will all lose someone close to us, the family members given the course of life, will pass. A lifetime friend is just as deep as losing a close family member, because often times, you're probably closer to them than family members.

In a dream, a story is told, sometimes the dream is so vivid, you don't want to wake to write it down, because you're certain that you'll remember it the next day. Unfortunately we aren't always lucky enough to recollect the dream, and that's unfortunate. Now when I have a great dream, I force myself to wake up, and I write it down. How many times have you felt some one's presence or heard a noise, when you've been home alone or driving in your car. Perhaps you smell a certain fragrance out of no where. Do you shrug the idea off, that it could possibly be a loved one, in the form of a spirit. I'll admit it's not a easy subject to wrap your mind around, but what if...

Sense memory is a acting exercise, take for instance your bedroom. Close your eyes, and can you visualize what's on your walls, the color of your bedspread, where did you leave the remote etc...try to recall what your last meaningful conversation was, and with whom? Now take it a step further, what was your last memory where you experienced a death, and how impacted was the loss?
When you look to the rainbow, do you find it to be happenstance, or do you feel there's a meaning to everything?
Life will severely test you, know that it's only preparation for something greater...

What are you doing with your life?

I'm Just Sayin....

So today Senator John Edwards admitted that he was the father ..... well who didn't know that? The more you understand politics the more you realize, that little truth is in it. It's bad enough that his wife is battling terminal cancer, but the added stress to her life, by his NOT showing any character. STEP UP your game John Edwards....your political future is OVER!!!

Kim Kardashian did a sex tape with Brandy's little brother Ray J. Which I guess is her claim to fame. So damn many reality TV shows' about no body's, given fifteen minutes to be somebody. Reggie Bush has the bank, now why would he want to marry someone who the world watched Ray J' chop down? Hmmm like the old saying goes, why buy the cow. EXACTLY

Another nobody in the news OctoMom....really do we care? I mean the fact that she basically gave birth to some small country, is somewhat disgusting. I wouldn't want to go diving for pearls in that corrosion.

Britney Spears read Dave Letterman's Top Ten in a bikini...so does that mean she's no longer crazy? Maybe it's just me, but that sounds crazy...I mean 'I'm just sayin'.

Whitney Houston is about to release a new CD August 31-2009. The world is criticizing her for not sounding the same as she did when she was 20. Come on America, twenty five years later, should she sound the same? She's been to hell and back, I'm just glad she lived through it all. Whitney we got our eyes on you!!

Mariah Carey recently held a listening party in NYC for the release of her "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel', sadly only twenty five people showed up, even Mariah didn't show (hmm) and from what I'm told, the record is 'just' average. Mimi if it doesn't work out, at least you have Nickie to sex you up.

Is Beyonce's that immature and threatened by LeToya Luckett who isn't getting any love at radio? Her two singles are bangers, but word on the street Matthew Knowles has been blocking at radio. I for one, did NOT care for the Sasha Fierce CD, very whack. Single ladies, was just another version of Get Me Bodied...I'm just sayin.

Why is it every time Usher releases a CD is has to do with a breakup? His marriage to Tameka was staged, and the marketing backfired. What you do in the dark will eventually come out. Speaking of coming out, what does John Legend, Kanye West, Tyrese,Rihanna, Tyson and Jay Z have in common? Stay tuned :)

Hey Oprah, Dave Letterman, Wendy Williams and Ellen...

In a rare performance, Whitney Houston dropped by the Rosie O'Donnell show to promote the release of the DVD of Cinderella. In a very understated performance, Whitney showcased her effortless performance talent. This was the era, where specualtion was running rampant about Whitney's cancellations on concerts and interviews. Rosie O'Donnell jumped on the bad wagon too, only to have to eat crow, because Whitney NOT only showed, she delivered!!!

Best Laid Plans/TGIF

It's Friday

Sometimes I think my life is a open book. Other times I'm drastically private. Addressing dark matters isn't always easy, but we must ask ourselves, the real important questions. I say get your affairs in order, conversations like Wills and DNR (Do Not Resuscitate)are conversations that need to happen. If you don't have a will, I saw put that on your immediate to do list. I talked last week about friendship being one of the only things you get to choose in this life. A will if done correctly is one of the other things.

It's easier to address this matter when your life is good and up. Life is never perfect, what you do while you're here, makes the difficult times bearable. Like it or not, time and pace the longer you're live, they quicker it goes. Putting your wishes on paper allows you to have the ultimate final say. If you do not address matters such as these, you'll end up having someone making decisions for you, and sometimes the people having the say, haven't a clue as to who you are/were nor what your wishes entailed.

This has been a extremely taxing week. I pulled out one of my favorite books 'Tuesdays with Morrie' it's a good read, because it always puts things into prospective. I say live in the moment, take each breathe moan by moan, and appreciate EVERYTHING around you. It can all be taken away in a instant. You know the saying, if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.

What are you doing with your life?

P.S. R.I.P. Ame Williams, I'm a much better person, for having you in my life and what you represented for me was true friendship, love, devotion, and ultimate unconditional dedication. I feel good about what we were to each other, and I'm not sure what the future holds for me, but what I do know is everything that I do from this moment on, will represent for you as well. My heart will never be the same. Your beauty now lives in spirit, I so hope that you're at peace, and I hope that wherever you are, you are still smiling that lovely smile.

Whitney dropped by the set of The Oprah Winfrey show to perform her classic 'The Greatest Love Of All' which was a personal request from Oprah. Though her voice more mature a decade later, Whitney performed the song with a new soulful rendition of her pop classic. Enjoy!

Amelia (Ame) Williams R.I.P.

May 16 - August 10 - 2009
My friend Ame Williams passed away today. We met in 1991. We shared many triumphs, laughs and heart ships. Ame was very special, she always made time for me, and she was so willing to be a dynamic friend. Her spirit was very quiet and unassuming, her intelligence and hunger for knowledge was always present wherever she went. Friendship is one of the only things that we get to choose. I'm a much better and wiser man, because of my friendship with Ame. She taught me about tenderness and sensitivity.

Wherever we go next, I'm sure Ame is there with my Mother, Michael Jackson and so many other's that have impacted our lives along the way. I encourage everyone to take many moments to share love with people who matter most to you. We're not promised a happy ending, the present moment is all we have. Ame and I spoke last week, and she seemed to be in a good place, and we reminisced about our crazy lives, and the crazy good times that we shared. She was there for me, when my mother was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer, and she was a trojan in helping my mother make her transition, and she provided much tenderness, support and laughter through a horrific ordeal.

Amelia (Ame) Williams, rest in peace. Your memory will forever live on with me, and all the friendships that you touched with your generous heart and grace.

Guilty Pleasures....

Okay let me first say, a few years ago my boy Tony Scott in NYC tried to turn me on to the Wendy Williams Experience. My social standards was above stooping to some wannabe disc jockey, belittling 'real' celebrities. She was just gut bucket and messy, outing EVERYONE, she posted a picture on her website of Sean Combs tongue kissing a man. Her beef with another radio personality Angie Martinez is legend. She tried to go toe for toe with Whitney Houston, which honestly is her claim to fame.

Now that I've provided the backdrop for you. Fast forward a few years later, this Wendy Williams personality is given a TV show on Vh-1, still brass and a mess. This time she's outing Tyson Beckford and Derek Jeter. Her personality still brass and over the top. For the longest time, I was certain that 'she' was a 'he'.

I was quick to judge her. The fact remains, she has been the top air personality in New York City for ten years. She knows her music, and I can't hate on her for that. The popularity of that show led her to a daily talk show called The Wendy Williams show. The show was giving a six week test run in August 2008. Proving to be a ratings draw. Her show was picked up for a full season that made it's debut July 12-2009.

I must say that thanks to Tony Scott, I'm a bonafide fan, she's crass, over the top, funny as hell and above all she speaks the truth. She appeals to the curious mind, added with a bit of 'messy' makes her a guilty pleasure. I use to be ashame to admit that she won me over, but the truth is the truth. She's a 'MESS' and I guess I have a little bit of that in me, along with the world, because we're paying attention.

Vessel/TGIF

Happy Friday Everyone

The company that you keep is truly a reflection of you. It's not rocket science. In High School the popular kids, hung in their circle, the nerds had their circle, the jocks hung in their circle and the wild/loose one's well you know the drill.

Friendship in my opinion, is one of the few things in this life that we get to choose. People sometime are here for just a season, and in that season, they are sent to teach you a lesson, whether it's painful or meaningful. No mistakes about the 'why' or 'how' should be challenged. Healthy friendships are the one's where you don't always agree, but you respect each other's opinion.

Cycles of life come in waves, and mistakes, angst and adversity will all play a part. A friendship where there's jealousy and envy "cant and will" not last. Anyone who doesn't wish you well, is a part of enemy territory. Friendships are time investments. Realizing that it can't always be about you is a magnificent achievement. We all must listen to the other, and sit patiently when the spotlight is not on us.

In my life, I've broken off two longstanding friendships and it was very painful, almost worse than a death, with a death it's final, whereas when you breakup with a friend, they still roam the earth, As life happens, you could run into that person at the market, and it's an emotional toll. Most times in close friendships, the friend has all your dirt and secrets. Makes it very scary to have them as a enemy, but more importantly the investment that you put forth, did not pay in dividends.

Believe me when I say that the loss of a friendship is another form of heartbreak, and recovery isn't always guaranteed. To love yourself, means to know when to say ENOUGH. I say hurt me today, and let me deal with the fallout, as oppose to leading me on for a hundred years, only to find out that you were never genuine or sincere. Taking self inventory, we must be honest with ourselves, and dissect what part we played in the scenario, because no one is perfect and we all have our issues.

What are you doing with your life?

P.S. Pop Legend Whitney Houston returns to music with her new CD 'I Look To You' on August 31-2009.

Command Performance...

This performance began my love affair with Whitney Elizabeth Houston. It was her first appearance on David Letterman. She was just a baby, hell we all were:) 'Saving All My Love For You' is my all time favorite Whitney song. When I listen to this song, I still feel exactly the same way that I did twenty years ago. At that time I didn't know anything about love, and really how could I? I was a teenager.
Whitney set and raise the bar for other's to fellow. Her competition was steep, as you see, back in those days, we had 'real' singers, who sang. Her contemporaries were Stephanie Mills, Chaka Khan, Jennifer Holiday,Natalie Cole, Miki Howard, Regina Belle,Mica Paris,Celine Dion,Sheena Easton and of course the legends like Gladys, Aretha, Patti, Barbara were charting high as well.
America could not believe that all of this power and control was coming from such a tiny little body. Whitney grabbed the attention of America, she had seven consecutive number one singles, sealing her moment in the history books. Some 170 million sales later, Whitney Houston is returning to music August 31 with her 'I Look To You' CD. While the world waits with HIGH ANTICIPATION of the new music, until then, this classic live performance of 'Saving All My Love' will have to hold you. The notes that she hit on this performance are hungry and pitch perfect. It was clear Whitney was out to capture the world, and boy did she ever.
