Praise/TGIF

Happy Friday everyone, ... Lets Talk about It!!!

I'm thankful and grateful for all of you who color my world. For some praise isn't given nearly enough. It takes a very special person to always do the right thing, even when the goings get rough.  Life challenges WILL take you on uncharted ground.  Staying focus and on course to know that brighter days will soon be here, though the light at the end seems nonexistent, its about the soldiers who ride with you, the ones who hold you down and lift YOU.   In our journey to be extraordinary its about those in our lives who taught us how to fish, in the pursuit to persevere.  Until you are broken, you cant begin to know what you're made of. BENEVOLENCE - Reach out and lend your hand to help someone along the way, one day it just might be you who needs that extended hand.

Motivation inspires a certain behavior, its the assured stance, taking a leap of faith is when you give praise just because, when you rejoice in serenity, its with the understanding that few walk alone. Surround yourself with people who build you up even when it would be easier for them to tear you down.  I can never stress this enough, friendship is one of the most important relationships you will ever have, because its about trust,  "its a bond" a choice, and its an organic mystical feeling that is transparent, and it acknowledges the unspoken admiration.

Spirits/TGIF

Happy Friday everyone, ... Lets Talk about It!

People are looking for something different to believe in, some have lost their way.  Talks about the Illuminati, many are hell bent in belief that its real. I say read your Bible, the answer is there.  Connecting to things that some view as out of the ordinary, things that not everyone can relate to, or believe in.  Having an Angel on your shoulder is a blessed luxury to channel something wonderfully unforeseen.  Its from stories taught to you, its a thought to leans you to open your mind to expansion, out of the ordinary into the extraordinary.  A spirit comes to you, from your consciousness when you are longing.  Every now and then you hear a sound, but you're the only person there, or maybe you hear footsteps, yet you haven't moved.  Spirits aren't there to harm you, I find comfort when I feel a soft touch or nudge, it reassures me that life is out there.  My mind often takes me to the ideology of other galaxies co-existing, the Creator's diviness.

When I dream, its in color, and I often get visits from loved ones and people who have impacted my life. Nothing happens by chance, we're here to immerse ourselves with positive constant inner actions.  Sorrow enters too, its because a certain mourning exist in change, but its all a part of evolution.   The next time you feel a soft touch, or smell a familiar scent, that is not yours ... take comfort in knowing that you're in good company as the gates of Heaven has no locks!

Jessie J is a very talented singer AND songwriter.  She's responsible for some of Rihanna's biggest hits.  Her voice is energetic and her range is simply amazing.  I like the fact that she can sing almost any genre' and make it her own.  Her interpatation of Whitney's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" pays homage to the late great singer,  while showing her own personal take on the song.  Very nicely done.  Enjoy~

Ciara artwork for new CD revealed

It's no secret that Ciara is one of my favorites.  I've been on board with her from the very beginning.  This industry is full of sharks, and jealous competitors, who will sometimes pay radio stations NOT to play certain artist that they are intimidated by.  With that being said Ciara is 'still' in the game, but barely.  Here's hoping that L.A. Reid her record label president, (who originally signed her back in her  One Two Step days, where she enjoyed triple platinum sales) will see to it that radio is ON board and properly promote and play her music this time around.  Good luck Ci-Ci you're a beautiful fabulous HOT babe.

Motown on Broadway ...

Supremes together again .... the 'Someday' came!
Motown on Broadway opened this week.  It's about Motown and it's glorious heyday.  The house was packed with Legendary Motown artists that included Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson, Mary Wilson and many others.  It was a sold out crowd.  The biggest part of this story, and it almost overshadows the play was the fact that Diana Ross and Mary Wilson was in the same room together AND took pictures together. This was the first time since the two woman were seen together since Motown 25 Reunion special in 1983.  If you'll recall Mary Wilson wrote a mean spirited tell all book called "Dreamgirls-My Life As A Supreme". She took liberty at trying to expose Diana Ross vulnerabilities and Diva ways.

Zen/TGIF

Happy Friday everyone, ... Let's Talk about It!!
Experience is always life best teachings, the mistakes and the recoveries. Choice is a constant walk in the day to day struggle to find meaning and hidden purpose. As you walk in search of answers, but the clues continue to stare you in the face, as are the days when you coast with blinders on, and ironically STILL not getting the Zen moment that is yours. It's imperative that you center yourself, which takes an executed plan to understand how to balance as oppose to juggle. Solitude for 'stillness' is something that you can resonate on, to find an inner peace, something that is ever freeing. Rushing to what, on a promise made to you by some disingenuous person, the more continuously you are on your life travels, you will come to realize that the closer you get to your goals, the less well intended people are, and therein lies the decision to stay steadfast.

From the beginning of time, the angst was always in the decision making plan, it was about choosing the right, wrong, left or right, its about authority, standing up for something, a wrong move can happen, but you can recover from it, do not let it pigeon hole you. Indecision is not the easy way out, things are going to get tough, and some days, you wont see an opening, you wont have easy answers, and at some point, you wont have the answer at all, it's life, but you immerse yourself with as much as you possibly can, at that given moment, and as sure as time continues to tick away, the master plan is making it to tomorrow, because that day always comes with or without you.

I must admit that NSync was one of my favorite boy bands, yeah it's my generation.  Unlike most boy bands, it's a lot of marketing and gimmick tools, but NSync had genuine singers JC Chasez, Lance Bass and of course Justin Timberlake"Gone" is one my all time favorite songs by the group, even though Justin went solo, its nice to see the fellas still playing nice with each other, so much so that they joined Timberlake LIVE in concert to sing their 2001 hit.  It's gets no better than this ladies and gentleman .. Enjoy~

RIP Mouseketeer Annette Funicello ...

Annette Funicello, the most popular Mouseketeer on "The Mickey Mouse Club," who matured to a successful career in records and '60s beach party movies but struggled with illness in middle age and after, died Monday, The Walt Disney Co. said. She was 70.

She died peacefully at Mercy Southwest Hospital in Bakersfield, Calif., of complications from multiple sclerosis, the company said.  Funicello stunned fans and friends in 1992 with the announcement about her ailment. Yet she was cheerful and upbeat, grappling with the disease with a courage that contrasted with her lightweight teen image of old.  The pretty, dark-haired Funicello was just 13 when she gained fame on Walt Disney's television kiddie "club," an amalgam of stories, songs and dance routines that ran from 1955 to 1959

Affirmation ...

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for allowing me another day on your earthly grounds, thanks for affording me the rich blessings of abundance that you continue to shower upon my life.  You are my rock and my shield, when evil men rise against me they will stumble and fall. I am nothing without you, and I do not take any of my blessings lightly or for granted.  I am a vessel of your word to spread knowledge of your greatness to all that I meet and encounter.  In my walk I am an Angel to those who are in need of my services.  I've come to know that "No Weapons Formed against me shall prosper".  You are a forgiving God who sacrificed so very much for us, so that we can have life.  I'm humbled by your unselfishness.  Please guide and direct my path, continue to protect me from hurt, harm, fear, danger, also honor me with favor, mercy and grace all the days of my life.  Please bless the world, the sick and shut in and the adversities.  I ask that you wrap your loving arms around my family and lead them the righteous way.  Bless my family, my friends, extended family and my foes.  I send Love and Light out to all those who walk in the belief of "Our Heavenly Father" for those who are not there yet, I ask that you show them that you are the truth and the light. For all the blessings in my life, I do give thanks.  Amen~

Celestial/TGIF

Happy Friday everyone, ... Let's Talk about It!!!

I've had this on and off again love affair with something called time', it never seems to be as giving in the relationship as I think that it should be, sadly didn't really care about my opinion of what were doing, ugh so here's the catch it continues to keep ticking whether or not I wanted it to, it was always in my face like or not, and when I would grow disenchanted it often reminded me that inevitably it will always going to win. So what I've decided was to never let my dreams fade, because of the time it will take, in truth time will pass anyway's. That lesson is my encouragement to others, 'time' precious and uncertain, fully capitalize on 'now'. Sow your seeds, grow your forest and share your fruits, it's celestial that way, and in that lies your greatest rewards.

Purposely another thing I've really zoned in on this week, is it doesn't matter how good your intentions, if your execution is poor all hope is lost and misconstrued. Giving others passes to mistreat you, continues to be the mirror of shame on yourself, NOT others. When I ask you the weekly question "What Are You Doing With Your Life" it's for a reason, I want sound precision thinking. Thoughts provoke realties here on this planet, we have a role. Stop accepting basic crap in your life, remember mediocrity in the road most commonly traveled. No one arrives without a proper greeting, and all are engulfed in a feeling that is blessed with love, acceptance, and so celestial.

What Are You Doing With Your Life?

P.S. My TGIF and song selection is dedicated to the memory of my Grandmother Oleava Knotts' Knighton who made her transition April 5 2011 - Grandmother I cherish your teachings and presence in my life. I love and miss you very much. RIP

Singer/Actor/Producer Issac Hayes was always true to the core of his artistry.  He always a very honest and direct approach about himself.  In this performance was no different, as he sings "I Stand Accused" his deep bass was tender and well intended.  Females worship and adored him. He was known for his 'Shaft' single which garned him an Academy Award and his role on South ParkEnjoy~

Rest In Peace Roger Ebert dead at 70

Film critic Roger Ebert has passed away from Cancer complications,  Just this week, Ebert said that he would be cutting back his reviews due to recurring thyroid and salivary gland cancers. Although the illness caused him to lose the lower half of his jaw and the ability to speak in 2006, he continued to write with the same tenacity and wit he was always known for.

Ebert first began writing for the Sun-Times 46 years ago, and became the first film critic to win the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism in 1975. That same year, Ebert and Chicago Tribune movie critic Gene Siskel launched the program “Coming Soon to a Theater Near You," later becoming "At the Movies" and then "Siskel & Ebert & The Movies," as the two began their trademark "thumbs up, thumbs down" practice of reviewing films.  Ebert's final article was his "Leave of Presence" piece, announcing his plan to cut back on reviewing movies. In it, he signed off with "I'll see you at the movies." Ebert is survived by his wife, step-daughter, and two step-grandchildren. RIP Mr. Ebert, you were a part of my Hollywood culture, and you will be sadly missed.

Fallon IN ....Leno OUT at the Tonight Show

It's a changing of the guards over at The Tonight Show.  Quite frankly the show hasn't been the same since Johnny Carson's departure, and the rightful heir to that slot should have been David Letterman, but the powers that be, felt differently and the post was assigned to Jay Leno.  A couple years ago NBC replaced Leno with Conan O'Brien then all hell broke loose, the backlash behind the firing of Jay Leno, and the low ratings that O'Brien was pulling in, gave NBC reason to court Leno again, and rehire him back, and as typical Leno who never really had a spine, went back.  Jimmy Fallon will be a breath of fresh air for late night, as once again, the powers that be are trying to pull a younger, more hip edgy demographic. let's hope it works this time.  Good Luck Jimmy Fallon, and ciao Jay Leno!

Bedazzled ...

Things that truly appeal to my eyes, and touches the artist in me on every level ....
Ciara is truly a guilty pleasure of mine.  I love everything about her, and she has humility, which is rare to find in a beauty such as hers.
Venus Williams game of Tennis rewrote the history books.  She and her sister Serena are both Legends in the world of Tennis, a field that wasn't suppose to be dominated by African Americans.  Both Williams sisters have held the #1 ranking and some 35 grand slam trophies later, they are STILL rewriting history and taking names.
This lady truly changed my life, and I'm forever devastated, that I will no longer be able to look down when the phone rings, and see this name.  She was at the Top of her field, and she touched so many lives with her gift of voice, she radiated elegance, and battled demons that became larger than she could handle.  I will never stop loving her, and I will always hold her in the highest of esteem, as I always did, in spite of haters.
