Hey Remembering - Billy Paul, Sharon Jones, Bernie Worrell and Attrell Cordes.  Music touches us all, 2016 was brutal, as we are still reeling in the losses of some great masters of music and their artistry

Billy Paul, jazz and soul singer best known for his hit singles "Philadelphia Soul" and "Me and Mrs. Jones," has passed away April 24.

The 80-year-old musician died at his home in Blackwood, New Jersey, his co-manager, Beverly Gay, told The Associated Press. Billy had been diagnosed recently with pancreatic cancer.

He was drafted into the army, stationed in Germany where he served with Elvis Presley and Gary Crosby.  Paul and Crosby formed a band to avoid hard work, the duo tried to enlist Presley, who chose to be a Jeep Driver instead.  Years later Paul found his way to the TSOP record label.

Billy will be truly missed, but his signature 'Me and Mrs. Jones plays on.
