Janet is 'UNBREAKABLE' ...

#1 - UNBREAKABLE Janet 'Damita Jo' Jackson scores her seventh Number One album.  After her nipple-gate incident, in 2004. The backlash was ridiculous.  Music has changed, the world has changed, and of course Jackson has changed.  Stripped are the sexual overtones, replaced with timely feel good songs, about life, and love.

Janet Jackson’s first studio album since 2008 is on pace to easily win the weekly sales race.

Based on opening day sales data, Hits Daily Double projects “Unbreakable” will sell 90-105,000 pure copies during the October 2-8 tracking week. That should give it the comfortable edge on next week’s Billboard Top Album Sales chart.

I know Vincent Hebert is probably sleeping on the sofa and shaking in his boots, as the #2 weeks best seller is his wife Tamar Braxton’s “Calling All Lovers.” It is on track for a pure sales total of 38-43,000 and a consumption total of 42-47,000 units.  Jackson did virtually NO press, while Braxton is overly saturated with press and television, all proved to be overkill.  Jackson approach of less is more, was the triumph.
