World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day -The AIDS epidemic continues to grown.  We are STILL looking for a cure, some say a cure exists.  Truth be told, it's a money making machine, Doctors and Pharmaceuticals make their living on prescriptions instead of a true anecdote.  AIDS is such young disease, everything is trial and error, the side effects trigger other attacks to the immune system.  So yes MUCH work needs to be done.   We must remember we have lost so many to THIS pandemic. We most support those living and surviving with HIV/AIDS.  We must continue to keep educating and practicing safe sex and fight the good fight.  kk

The Fast-Track map

If the world is to end the AIDS epidemic by 2030, rapid progress must be made by 2020. Quickening the pace for essential HIV prevention and treatment approaches will limit the epidemic to more manageable levels and enable countries to move towards the elimination phase.

Already 15 million people are accessing life-saving HIV treatment. New HIV infections have been reduced by 35% since 2000 and AIDS-related deaths have been reduced by 42% since the peak in 2004.

This years theme 'Getting to Zero' ;End AIDS by 2030.
