Dreams/TGIF

Hello everyone,
Congratulations goes out to the Lakers, not my vision, but Los Angeles did their thing. No doubt they were the better team at this year's championships.

A recent tragic death, has me in deep thoughts about life and impact. Mrs. Johnson continues to hang in there thankfully. How ironic life can be. A 20 year old kid in the prime of his life taken out by unnecessary violence. A hospice terminally ill patient survives to see another day. A no'brainer would say that a 20 year old chances would be greater, than the terminally ill .

Another example singer Natalie Cole was in dire need of a kidney transplant. Her sister Carol in perfect health, hasn't seen a Doctor in thirty years, goes to get a check up. She finds out that she has lung cancer. Her doctor wanted her to start chemotherapy treatments immediately. A week later Natalie gets a called from her doctor, a donor has been found. During Natalie's surgery her sister Carol passes away.

Moments like this takes your breath away, and leave you dumbfounded, which are not things we should relish in, yet it does make you wonder about the meaning of it all. I say this time and time again, no one comes into this world to stay. Why is it so hard to accept when the end of life happens? I've always been told and taught to believe that we're passing through this life to get to a greater place. I'm a believer. Some days I still have questions.

Solace can be a comforting place. Sleeping is always easier to do than deal with the crazy of life and day to day stresses. Sleep can bring you to beautiful places. Dreams are great short stories, and escapism. How often have you had a dream in your sleep that played out in real life, exactly the way your dreamt it?

Fulfill your dreams and bask in the moments, that you are afforded. Looking at the glass has full as oppose to half empty, sounds good in spirit...but today I'm pissed off, and my understanding is NOT good. I opt to lift the glass in memory of my friend...that his soul will finally be at rest.

What are you doing with your life?

P.S. Pop Superstar Whitney Houston 'Undefeated' CD will be released September 1-2009.

  2. Thank you Kevin,
Your commentary is very meaningful as a friend passed away 2 weeks ago and it is still hard to accept. The fact that she is my age, I'm sure, plays a part in this. And, yes it is hard to accept the passing of life and to remain optimistic and hopeful... I know it will come, but during the grieving it is hard.

Enjoy Ms. Johnson while she is in your life, it is obvious that she is a gift you needed.
    Love

    Take care....

  3. The only meaning behind death is to life, the meaning behind sadness is to have something to compare happiness with. There is always a lesson in things that we lose no matter what it is. How many times have we lost an item we absolutely treasured, or money, or a wallet. Hopefully we learn to be more careful with the things we place great value in. Same as loved ones that pass, there is meaning . . . .should I have been more careful with what I loved most?

With all the death around me revealing itself in a variety of ages and reasons and genders, I have not grown familiar and comfortable with it, but more open to life and what I may be missing. All the money in the world cant bring back someone gone, which shows just how equal we really are. Think about the ones you've lost individually . . . .have you learned anything from each passing? What is YOUR meaning is their passing?

Life is more simple than the credit we give it for being so deep, and Death is far less deep than that. Dont waste death on sadness when it has greater promise in inspiration!
