Heroin

'Smack', 'H', 'Junk' and 'Skag' are some of the street names for Heroin.  The Heroin mystique has a ruputation as the drug of artistic genius. There’s nothing romantic about this killer.  It boogles my mind about whats the intrigue with Heroin?   Its a 'downer' but users like the way it probes their mental state into a euphoria like state.   Philip Seymour Hoffman died with what the media have depicted as a certain cinematic flair — the “needle still in his arm,” 50 or so bags of heroin and used syringes scattered around the Greenwich Village apartment where he was found. It was an unexpected ending for the actor, who, it’s been said, didn’t quite look the part. After all, as Frank Rich wrote in New York “This tragic loss doesn’t fit the Kurt Cobain/Jim Morrison  or James Dean/Heath Ledger  templates of a brilliant (and glamorous) young performers self-destructing or being struck down, leaving behind a relatively brief and stunted career and reveries of what might have been.”

In Hollywood 28 of the most popular entertainers who died from drug overdose related deaths 14 of those deaths was due to Heroin usage.  Kurt Kobain, Lenny Bruce, James Dean, Heath Ledger, Jimi Hendrix, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Janis Joplin, Cory Monteith, Jim Morrison, Billie Holiday, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman and Dee Dee Ramone.  At the peak of their careers, such incredible highs, and some apparent lows. Drugs and Alcohol temporarly coats the pain.  La La land is one of the toughest palaces to be, with accolades and rich rewards, proving that all that glitters isnt gold, some times the lights fizzle out quicker than expected.

Gone Too Soon!!
