Sonny and Cher was bomb. I remember watching this episode when I was 11. I loved the Jacksons so much. At the time, we didn't have a lot of black representation on television, and radio. The Jackson family were a major influence on black culture. When you saw the Jacksons on television, you saw family royalty. A strong force of quality. I was inspired to do great things in the world. I'm 53 now, and when I heard the news of Michael's passing, I cried almost constantly for two weeks. I felt like my first love had died, I felt like my childrens father had passed on, I felt like my best friend had died. It's amazing that someone could reduce you to being a child again, to witness your hero's passing, has left me numb. Michael and the Jacksons, thanks's for helping me be proud of my heritage.
