Jon B used to be a songwriter, he wrote songs for After 7, Toni Braxton, Michael Jackson, Color Me Badd and others. Jon B's popularity began in the mid 90's, in 1995 he released his debut album Bonafide; featuring the single Someone To Love with Babyface. The album went platinum. As his popularity grew, it was time to get Jon back in the studio, he released his second studio album Cool Relax in 1997, the album spawned the top 10 single They Don't Know and one featuring Tupac Shakur. Cool Relax was his most successful album, its certified Double Platinum.
His followup to 'Cool' was 'my' personal fave 'Pleasures U Like' featuring 'Faith Evans', the project showcased the funky side of Jon B. His first single was a dance ditty called 'Don't Talk' unfortunately 'Pleasures' didnt receive the same love as its predecessor, it achieved 'gold' status. After three CD's on Epic records Jon B. parted ways, he felt he was being under promoted. These days he and Indie artist, his most recent project 'Comfortable Swagg' was released in 2012, in March 2014 he and wife welcomed a third daughter to their family.
