Whitney Elizabeth History will go down in the history books as one of the best vocalist to have ever lived, and her contribution to the world of music can never be tarnished.
I use to live in Manhatten, I first heard of Whitney Houston, singing at a little supper club called Sweet Water she use to always sing Michael jackson's "I Wanna Be Where You Are" and believe me she would kill that song, so when I heard "You Give Good Love" the voice sounded familiar but I coudln't place it, until shortly thereafter.

I was a freshman at Howard University and when I first heard you give good love, I almost lost my mind, those vocals that delivery, and it didn't hurt that I had just love my virginity to my college sweetheart Reggie:) those were the days, a timeless classic and Whitney is still my girl no matter what anyone says.

I first heard Whitney on the Merv Griffith show, and feel in love with her singing home, but what really sealed the deal was seeing her sing her song 'saving all my love' on the show silver spoons, I'm from the UK, and music gets us to late, but thankfully her album was so hugely successful we weren't taht far behind. I recently saw her nothing but love tour, and though the voice isn't the same, she still has mad heart. I love Whitney
ReplyDeleteI first heard that voice in a song selection with al jarreau and ashford/simpson it was for a tribute to Martlin Luther King, she only sang a few bars but she blew the roof off the joint,a nd I must admit my guilty pleasure was watching that trainwreck show being Bobby Brown.
