R.I.P. Michael Joseph Jackson, thanks for the music and for touching my life with your genius. Its hard to believe that it's been a year since your passing, sometimes it seems like a horrific dream. I like to think that you're at peace, you gave so much of yourself, and I often wonder after you released 'Thriller' was it worth it to you anymore. When I look back on all the footage that I have of you, you seemed so happy and carefree when you were with your brothers as a group and I remember how close you were to Janet and LaToya. I guess we can call those the innocent years, no corruption. This entertainment industry builds you up to take you down, I loved that you always won, so that's the victory for you, our gain, is that we got to witness your brilliance and I think the 'loss' is for everyone because you're not longer here. I will never forget Michael Jackson, he touched my life and gave me a sense of purpose on my darkest days, chasing the dream in this industry is a beast, so I applaud him for making it look effortlessly. 'Always There' is your music for me, and I "Never Can Say Goodbye" and thankfully as long as your music plays on and live, I won't have to.

My granddaughter is 8. She's never met Michael or been to any of his concerts, but you wouldn't know that by talking to her. You'd think she had to have met him at least once because she loves him so. I never knew she cared so much about him but when he died she showed me how much Michael meant to children all over the world. She absolutely loves him. She watches everything she can about him. She wishes she had met him when he was here. She likens him to Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King and George Washngton. When she first found out Michael had died she cried and cried. She said " Grandma I wish I could kiss him on the cheek and tell him how much I love him". She made me cry. I didn't know how deeply he'd touched her heart until she showed me how much he'd touched mine. It took her innocently grieving heart to show me how incredibly pervasive his love for humanity was. He was great in my life growing up and is great in her life now. We listen to "Big Boy" and see the wonder, grace and exception that was and is Michael

It's hard to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing that you were a special part of a well- lived life. I can't believe it's been a year since you left this earth. You are loved and missed by so many I hope that you are at peace my sweet angel. ReplyDeletemichael, i love you so much. not one day has gone by without me thinking about how much you mean to me. you literally are my life, to this day- my life revolves around you, and always will. growing up i swore to god that i would meet you one day and pray you'd become my new daddy. i can't express in words the pain i still feel now that it's been a year. i'll look at a picture of you and just loose it. i'll forget everything around me and whats going on in the world and just think about how my life would be so much better if you came back. you are a perfect example of how people would wish that they can rewind time. as tears fall down my face anytime i look at you or think about you, i know that even though you're not here with me physically, you're always going to be in my heart in spirit. i can honestly say that i dont have to think about what kind of person i want to be as i grow older because i already know- one just like you

Michael Jackson was also a very loving warm person, he cared for his fans, family, and friends unconditionally. It is very hard to believe that the King Of Pop has been dead for an entire year, he will forever live in the hearts of everybone who loves him. I pray every night for his family and think of what they must go through each day, having to deal with the pain and such, but the Jackson family is very strong, and I know that they will get through this.
