Connecting/TGIF

Hello Everyone, Happy Friday..

This week, I'm going to keep the subject matter light:) With less than three months left to this year. It's easy to reflect on original goals, and people who have impacted your year thus far. Have you made any connections and strides to get closer to the things that bring you joy?

This week was great for me, I reconnected with a old friend from my past. Those are the days when you just got to love tools like facebook, myspace, twitter, texting etc.., Don't be afraid to try the news ways of communication. When fear keeps you from trying new things and new mediums, is basically when the aging process starts. Like it or not the world waits for no one. I've stated that on more than on occasion.

Losing touch with someone happens for a lot of reasons, I for one will never be conditioned to the thought of, a cell phone storing all of my phone numbers and contacts. I got sucker punched with that madness before. The old school way of writing numbers and contact information down or memorizing is a great tool for the brain, as it's a muscle that must stay fine tuned. We get lazy and conditioned to the convenience of it all.

Some people make connections through work or a social event. Love comes into play too, and the heart is selfish because it wants what it wants, sometimes what it wants isn't always what it needs, but that's another conversation:) How many times have you dated someone that you worked with? all of us at some point have made that crazy mistake, and for some it wasn't a mistake, that connection can lead to marriage or long term dating. We're all trying to get to the next level. The life of a mover shaker is never easy. Things like responsibility and drive will have you rushing to the get to the what's 'next' portion of your life.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, what a better way to reconnect with you friends and family contacts. Simple get together's can be done on a budget, especially if everyone chips in to do their part. The recession doesn't seem to be letting up, now more than ever, its all about the village. Executing things into fruition, can save you time, money, and if done correctly, the rewards are endless.

What are you doing with your life?

  2. Kevin you got from heavy to cream puffs. I'm glad that you can flip it, lately you were being too heavy. The world is hard enough. Thanks for treading lightly this week.

  4. Kevin I disagree with Marwynne. Keep it real. Yes the world is hard, but we have to learn to roll with the punches.
