Always Be My Baby ...

Dearest Whitney,
Another week has gone by and I say to myself, this can't be happening, yet it is.  It's almost one year without you, I can't the pain still seems just as horrific.  I watched the SAG Awards last night, and in there memoriam section, they featured you, along with others who passed this past year, and the flood gates open up again.  Your mom's book comes out Tuesday, and she's telling her side of things, still I wished that she had taken the Robyn Crawford approach, so far she's the only one who in my opinion seems to have integrity, the one who continues to honor who you were in the friendship that the two of you shared.  I listen to your songs and watch old videos.  This week I've introduced my little seven year old cousin to your version of "Cinderella" she listens to "Impossible" and "There Is Music In You" over and over, so another generation is praising your glory. I still can't bring myself to write an article for public viewing that deals with February 11 - 2012, I never can say goodbye, I don't ever want to, so until next week, I'll be singing you.  Rest easy my beautiful princess, you are loved, missed and adored. RIP~

  4. Losing Michael and Whitney, the black community lost our suster and brither and the workd lost two of the greatest to ever do it. We really do not have any real superstars ..sad to say, i cant look to Beyonce and User to save the day, they have deep shors to fill.

  6. This life isn't for suckers, and the entertainment industry isn't for punks. Whitney fully understood what she was getting herself into, unfortunately she wasn't as strong as she thought she was, at the end of the day, what people thought about her really affected her, which makes me think that her mother was on the road too much to teach the think skin lesson, opinions everyone has one, to hell with what they say, long as your checks clear ma. I miss you, it seems so senseless that you're not here. rip

  7. I just finished watcing Cissy on Oprah, it was a very candid intereview, where I felt honesty and geniune sincerity. That Michael, who knew the demons. Whitney had a lot to deal with she needed a stronger foundation, and that little Bobbi Kris has best get herself together, or face the inevitable.

  9. Whitney is so intriguing. I wish that she had a better team behind her, she would still be here, and though I understand that you must help yourself first.

  10. Just finished watching the Cissy interview and I feel so bad for Whitney, her judgemental mother couldn't accept her gay lifestyle, that's why she turned to drugs and despair. It's heartbreaking to realize that she's been using for so many years. The drugs took their toll on her and ultimately took her voice. No matter what I will always love her. rip Whitney
